........ with Blue Square or Total Bet
Magee to beat Froch at 7/4 (26th May)
Castillo to beat Corrales at 1/2 (4th June)
That gives you odds of 3.13/1 How could anyone resist, its like buying money
This post was edited on 12/5/06 @ 8:30am. Sorry for the typo, i have always stated that Magee will beat Froch, and not the other way around.

Definitely fancy Magee to do the business.
Despite all the hoo-hah about weights and the result of the first fight I'd still consider it a pretty amazing feat were Corrales to go 2-1 up.

I think you'll find Magee is 7/4, Froch is 4/9.

This is hardly earth shattering stuff. 3/1 backing a fighter like Magee is not odds enough for me. His chin gets tagged too often. I still back Froch.

the froch/Magee fight has way to many uncertainties to be "buying money" in my humble opinion
buying money was when riddick blowe told us all to get on the calzaghe w PTS 12 against Salem................that was some good shit

Bet365, BlueSQ.
Only bet on one fight in my life, no sorry two, one was Williams over Tyson (had a tenner on at 11-1 for the points win, missed the round by 1 after putting a fiver on Williams in the 2nd and 3rd at 100-1.

Were the odds for the 4th still 100-1?

Yes, I do. Betfair always has the best odds, but usually not until closer to the time of the fight. Many of the smaller fights (Magee-Takaloo for example) have very little liquidity so in those cases you're better off looking elsewhere. Also, another could place to try is
http://www.oddschecker.com which sources prices from all the highstreet bookmakers and compares them so you can find the best value.

Either that or 80-1 the odds on round by round betting are always pretty high, especially if you're backing the underdog which I was. It's worth spreading a few quid around on the round by round in fights.

i hardly ever bet ( i mean like 5 times ever) but the only decent odds are betting rounds, cannot be bothered with anything else..

I don't personally, I'd prefer to put it on Hatton by KO, but I've read quite a few posts on here saying Collazo by UD so may be tempting.

Bet regularly (every week). Do quite well on the boxing (won about £250 each on liackovich, Calzaghe and Kltscko over Peter) but have also pissed some money up the wall (EG £200 Tyson to win in 1 against McBride, and £200 on Valery Brudov to beat Hill!.)
Ahem.
Betfair has the 'best' odds but you need to factor in that they take 5% of winnings.... so this lessons the odds especially for long shots. You also can only buy bets to the level of money that is being offered.
Stanjames and Bet365 have the most boxing offers, but you can shop around using oddschecker for the best odds. Skybet have been known to offer some bargains (eg Calzaghe at 5-1 to win on points vs that Egyptian with th ehard head... forgotten his name.)
Pinnacle generally offer the best odds as they avoid tax because of their location, but they only allow one free withdrawal per month unless you are withdrawing over a certain amount (somethig big like £500).
Hope that helps.

I'm more interested in the 1/2 for Castillo than the magee odds. Castillo is a pretty sure win IMO, i thought he would be at around 2/7.

Agree, I will be shocked if Corrales can beat Castillo, but would love if he did.
