Memories of Floyd...

My memory of a boxing great: in the Ali fight, the second one, Ali was pushing Floyd back after a slow start. He forced his man to the ropes, where Floyd, oh so experienced, oh so cool, bobbed and weaved behind that peek-a-boo defence - not frantically, just enough to make Ali miss.
Then he worked his way off the ropes with the kind of footwork Floyd Mayweather can only dream about.
It was so good, you barely noticed it. But Floyd was back in the middle of the ring and Ali was chasing again.

Nice memory and goes to show what diverse talents Floyd had. I always remember him as a murderous banger with a cold blodded killer instinct.

Like a smaller version of Tyson with a more pourous defence but better heart

There is no doubt he was a great fighter. Youngest champ and first to regain (in days before alphabet soup)

Very sad day
