has there ever been a nation that consistently sends more fight fans to foreign lands than the brits do?!? i notice that 4,000 hatton fans are making the cross-atlantic trek to support ricky hatton in boston & also remember seeing large contingents of brits at a number of lennox lewis fights in usa & even hamed bouts as well...
if there has EVER been a nation that supports its fighters with live fans in distant lands like the UK has, i'd sure like to know where it is?!?

It's a shame your fighters don't know this. They might travel more!!! (allegedly).

it's alright cos the balance of power is switching from the states to europe..your heavyweights are going to have to come over here to get a belt now.....lacy came over here and got his arse handed to him on a plate..and nobody in WORLD boxing draws as many as ricky hatton..in fact he could sell out a manchester football stadium (65,000) for a fight during the summer..christ he could sell out wembley (100,000) for a fight with PBF...
SO tell me why america is the center of the boxing universe???

Also in Dunnes last fight abroad, it was not a fancy opponent or venue but still got a good few travelling Irish there when he was only an undercard fight.
Still, respect for the fans who've turned out for Ricky.

Was that Ashley from Corrie singing with the crowd in Boston at the start of the PPV.
I know the actor is a huge boxing fan, and very decent amateur (if what I read was true) - but didn't expect to see him in the traveling masses... Perhaps it was just a lookalike.

He is over there, they interviewed him as part of the build-up. Apparently he got Ricky some extra work on Coronation Street.
