I remember this guy getting some big hype in the States last year. He had built up a record of 9 fights, 9 wins with 9 KOs before going into his (first televised?) fight with Alan Green 17-0.

As it turned out, Codrington got his chin checked after 18 seconds of round one and the result wasn't pretty. As scary a KO as you'll see. This was in November and he makes his comeback this Friday.

He and the other fella Curtis "Showtime" Stevens" are all part of the "ChinCheckers" Crew and train out of the Starrett City Gym in Brooklyn, New York. Stevens has a Tysonesque aura about him, and it seems the whole of Brooklyn's ruffians turnout to watch, as there's a fairly intimidating crowd of followers present when that lot fight. However, Stevens beat former WBA 154lbs champion Carl Daniels in his last fight which isn't a bad result.

I'd love to see him come back from that disaster, and I'll be watching his career with interest.
Nothing more unpredictable or exciting as watching a KO artist who's vunerable himself.

I always like to see boxers come back from 1st round KO's. Outside of injury, it has to be the worst result you can have in the world of sport, so it's great to see redemption achieved, when it happens.

Reminds me of another middleweight prospect from the UK in the 80's, Errol Christie: rated as a world beater, then shockingly stopped in 20 seconds.

Not as bad as the Chin Checker KO though - that's a new level of BAD.
Those morons who start to pull him around like a rag doll need to be banned from ringside without a doubt.


Really hope he can do it, he'll be matched carefuly for awhile I hope, because there might be some serious demons flying around insdie his head next time the first bell rings.
