Because Amir Khan wants Floyd!!!

Amir Khan has thrown down an audacious challenge to pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather as he prepares for his seventh professional test in Belfast tomorrow night.

The bullish Bolton teenager believes he has mastered the four-round distance to such an extent he could give the American superstar a run for his money - and would even cross the Atlantic to prove it.

Khan is brimming with confidence after a dazzling start to his professional career, which extends to seven fights against Hungarian Laszlo Komjathi at a sold-out King's Hall.

Khan said: 'Talent-wise I am already one of the best fighters in the world over four rounds. I would love to have four rounds with Mayweather. I am as quick if not quicker than him and I can sustain a fast pace.'

I would definitely like to fight in the US soon and show what I can do.'

Nice one Amir, but his REAL fight with Kindelan showed us he can't handle clever fighters, at least not yet anyway.

I hope he was joking, because until now I have seen very little resemblance between Amir and Hamed!! He stands a good chance of defeating Mayweather in 3-4 years, but to be lured into a match with Floyd too quickly would be a tremendous coup for Mayweather and tremendous miscalculation for Amir!!

i like khan but if this statement is accurate it shows a dangerous lack of humility that could hinder his long-range development!!

Man hie's being very contradicting when he said Naz was arragant when he was in the Olympics being interviewed and compared to Naz.

This is all nonsense. Mayweather will be retired before Khan would be ready, and Khan isn't I don't think going to ever be as good as Mayweather.
