i had the fight 116-113 for juarez

he landed the bigger punches and was the aggressor right thru the fight......barrera only fought in spurts and looking at barrera i think he doesnt want it anymore. he has the money in the bank , he is a qualified lawyer and doesnt need to fight anymore.

people on here thought that collazzo had won but juarez was robbed in this fight collazzo was not

It was a close fight and could have gone either way I had Barrera winning. People are too quick to use the word "robbery".

its my personal opinion mate , barrera just fought in spurts as mentioned before , im not saying im right or wrong but thats with giving barrera a share of the twelfth which many on here thought juarez won.

My point is in a close fight why scream "robbery". Fair enough you thought Juarez won but everyone thought it was close. You had Juarez by 3 points, so a 1 round + even round swing back in Barrera's favour is a draw. Hardly a robbery of any kind.

I don't think anyone could call it a robbery when Marco landed more punches, plus spread them throughout the rounds, where as Juarez got most of his in the late rounds.

Barrera showed grit and desire to overcome a young, strong foe.

He has money in the bank but showed warrior spirit and guts to fight thru what looked like a broken nose.

Barrera isnt a qualified lawyer by the way - he started studies for it, but turned pro at 16, I think and postponed his studies, at least that is how I understand the situation.

I think he has a law degree at best. I can't imagine he could quit boxing today and start representing clients in court tomorrow.

i scored the fight a draw. id say collazo -hatton was more of a robbery but because both were close fights neither are. jimmy vincent-david barnes is one of the clearest examples of a robbery u will ever get.

No robbery. I had Barerra winning too, by a couple of rounds.

All of the HBO commentary team had MAB winning....

Just a close fight, no 'robbery'.

I think Collazo is more worthy of a rematch than Juarez, given the starts both losers had - Collazo being floored, Juarez busting (or damaging) Barrera's nose...

I don't particularly want to see Barrera vs Juarez II - cause I think that was the best chance Juarez had at beating Barrera - Barrera won't underestimate him again, and Juarez probably will inflict quite so much damage that effected his breathing again. People are raving that a new star is born, maybe but he couldn't beat a Barrera who was as bad as I've seen him since Pacquiao (who did an absolute number on him)... I've no doubt he'll win a version of the title after Barrera's day, but I've also no doubt that he'll never be an outstanding, long reigning champion.

Collazo is probably thinking he was unlucky not to KO Hatton and could do so in a rematch, and this was a Hatton who said prepared well, looked in great shape, and is at the peak of his powers.

I agree with that post for the most part. I had Juarez vs Barrera a draw, although I do believe in a rematch Juarez would win. Personally i'm not interested in seeing a Hatton vs Collazo rematch.. but I do believe Collazo deserves the rematch more than Juarez does as I believe Collazo put up more of a fight. I wasn't completely sober when I scored Hatton vs Collazo but I had Collazo winning. (The second time I saw it I wasn't completely sober either and I got a draw.) So I believe that Collazo deserves a rematch but I wouldn't be too interested in watching it.. i'd be more interested in the results. A Hatton vs Collazo rematch would be a pick em to me. I think Barrera's age is catching up to him and I also think that the (definetely not one sided but he did take the harder shots) beating he received is going to affect him.

Barrera was continually wincing when Juarez hit him, he looks like he hasn't got the same grit he had, and if they fight again, I predict Juarez stops him.
