This would have been some fight!... Think I edge to Walker by points... his ability to take on the top Light-heavies and Heavyweights of the time is very impressive...... :box: :box: :box: what do you think?...

Im going with Walker in this one. I think Jake wouldnt be able to push Mickey around .Walker could brawl with the best of them and I think he hit harder than Jake . Walker had a big left hook. Jake was a very strong middleweight, but Walker because of his success against much bigger fighters leads me to believe he was one of the strongest. Walker by dec.

Yeah I agree, and how good does that make Harry Greb who pretty much outclassed Walker in their bout...

I thought of the Greb fight right away, Harry must have really been incredible. I would guess that Greb beat Walker on speed and volume. Unfortunately there is no film of that fight. Jake was not as fast as Harry or as busy in the ring. He was a pressure fighter but I dont see that being enough to beat the Toy Bulldog.

Yes thats what I figure, that Harry won with speed and non-stop punching... I think he bobbed and weaved and came in from all angles. I actually have about 6 minutes of Greb training and he does some shadow boxing and you can get some idea of the moves that he made... even though its short you can see he was very nimble and quick.
From what I've read in some articles Walkers win over Flowers was a debatable decision... flowers was I think a very fast boxer too who threw a lot of punches...

If Robinson can't take him down in his prime then no one can. So he stands up to anyone it's just a matter of who gets the decision. I'd say Walker.
