England Amateur Bantamweight Joe Murray younger brother of Professional super feather John Murray tonight captured silver at the European union championships being held in Hungary.
Its a great achievement for Joe who was appearing at his first Senior Multi nations tournament.
Joe lost in the final to Hungarys Bedak Zsolt on points.
Bedak had won his 2 contests by stoppage on the way to the final and was also awarded Best Boxer of the tournament.
Zsolt is an experianced campaigner who has appeared and reached the last 16 at the Athens Olympics and also appeared at the 2005 World championships.
19 year old Murray reached the final beating a Croation and Italain along the way.
