I see Corrales trying to box early on behind his jab and winning the earlier rounds but mid rounds I see an all out war much like the first fight but more technical, as they have both learnt about each others strenghts.

I see Castllo winning by a late stoppage, but can't ever rule Corrales out with his power and natural fighting talent, he can always pull punches out when it matters making him the most exciting fighter Lb for Lb

I want Chico to win, although Castillo is one of me favourites, Chico is definately more exiting to watch with is all out punching / fighting style. Chico like other punchers in history always backs himself, fights with his heart, in a life or death attitude, with emotion, thats why I reckon he will never lose on points.

He is one big and tall Lightweight!

I think Castillo by knockout again. Lets hope for a great fight again! The second one felt like a bit of a letdown for me but only as it didn't last as long as the first fight. Take away their first match and look at the second one as a standalone fight and it was still a war!

Castillo's a better fighter. he did better vs mayweather and cassamayor. has a better lightweight record. he cuts off the ring better, makes his shots count, places his punches better and contrary to opinion, boxes better than corrales. he's sturdier,and is built for fight like these. the question is, is it one fight too many? castillo had to kill himself to make weight for lazcano yet he paced himself and near outclassed the guy.

he looks really emaciated from the photos. the WBC say he was 142 a few days ago. he'll look like a dead man on the scales, but after he eats something he'll look a lot stronger. by fight night he will not look like the mummy without bandages.

i will be gutted if Castillo loses.


looks like Corrales has really riled him at the presser. castillo stormed out. maybe they think they can goad castillo into being the one dimensional brawler that he was - in the first fight, that is. like what bowe did to holyfield in fight one. they must believe that they can make Castillo walk into something big. but imo Corrales needs to knock him out. Castillo can grind him down, alter distance, jar him with hard outside/medium range shots - the shots that already knocked corrales down 3x

Hardly a case of just skipping breakfast to make weight. It would be interesting to see how far fighters like Corrales/Castillo/Cotto/Harrison etc do to make weight - just starving themselves for 3-4 days? Diuretics? Enemas?

Castillo late KO for me, sweet left hook again, I reckon around the 8th or 9th.

Castillo is very fired-up for this one! He has trained hard and is on par with his weight. He's sick of everyone asking him about his weight, being asked the same questions over & over again. He might even be angry, and he'll take that into the fight and use it!

Remember last time out, Corrales' promoter put forward a rule that Castillo must weigh no more than 147lbs come fight time. Castillo scaled bang on 147lbs, but he bet Diego's promoter that he would knock Corrales out!

Both are great fighters, the essence of boxing, giving their all, making the sacrifices! I'm rooting for Castillo though! Come on Jose Luis.

Beauty to watch Cassamayor, but sadly lacked the backing and following to get him where he could have gotten to. Had the decision gone his way against Freitas, things could have been very different.

I'm going to go against the majority and pick Corrales, just because it'll make me look all the smarter if I'm right and everyone else is wrong. ;)

Actually, to be honest, I do think that he has a good chance, but it'll be a very close fight. Can't wait!

Casas a superb fighter, I had him beating Castillo and thought he made him look like an unskilled slugger, some people have Casa as still been unbeaten, all the same its a pity he isn't been offered big fights.

yes, all three. i wouldn't comment on the fights if i hadn't seen them. corrales was beating cass with his reach in fight 2, lost his way late on, suffered a bad KD and barely hung on. it was suspenseful as cass was really getting him and was closing that points deficit. if cassamayor wasn't such a slow starter he might've won

castillo did have problems. but he beat JC first time around. he didn't get TKO'd like Corrales did in the 1st fight. he started slow, got picked off by some beautiful single shots, but got into the fight and wore Joel down. by the end, it was close but I had Castillo winning. and JC was getting a beating down the stretch

most cassamayor fights seem to be very close, sparking different interpretations. there's always someone who feels he won one these: Corrales II, Castillo, Freitas. the fights he's been in have been so close and competitive. would have been the same with mayweather.

would be easier to score his fights in 15 rounders. he would have killed corrales in the rematch with a couple of more rounds. and he would've been tko'd by castillo, in a 15-rounder.
