He's onto another trainer as well. According to the boys over at boxingtalk, Farnell has quit, citing a lack of dedication on Barnes's part. You do have to wonder about him at times.

I've heard that Barnes will be back on the M.E.N bill on July 15th.

Looks a good bill so far:

Andy Morris Vs Stephen Foster - British Featherweight Title
Andrew Facey Vs Matthew Hall - English Light Middleweight Title
Ricky Burns Vs Craig Docherty-British Super Featherweight Title Elim
Michael Jennings Vs
Paul Smith Vs
Steven Bell Vs
Tony Delaney Vs
Stephen Burke Vs
Curtis Woodhouse Vs
David Barnes Vs

Looks good, methinks i'll get a ticket.

Morris Vs Foster Jnr...has this been confirmed? Cracking fight if Frank puts it on :TU:

If it is confirmed absolutely great.... that means the WBU title will be vacant aswell (unless it Morris vacates).

How about Simpson vs Monroe for the WBU title?

If Frank is making matches like Morris Vs Simpson then why not Jennings Vs Barnes...or has Barnes gone back to Brian Hughes?

Yes, it has been confirmed. I'm glad its on this bill, instead of buried on the Williams-Skelton bill - which means people wouldnt have been able to see it, unless they went to the show.

I'm getting a ticket for the M.E.N show, mainly for Doc-Burns- should be excellent!

Re: Barnes. I was told he was fighting on the bill, but i also remember him signing for FA.

Weird!

It is a weird decision, shame to see Barnes wasting his talent, after he gritted his teeth and sucked it up versus Vincent a lack of dedication seems odd. He showed balls that night.

In a recent interview with the fighting footballer Woodhouse it says his debut has been put back as the Men show has been called off?

Any ideas?

Craig Docherty has pulled out of his fight with Ricky Burns due to weight problems.

Yeah, he's training at Bob Shannon's now.

Michael Gomez is also back in the gym training under Bobby Rimmer at a new gym in Stalybridge.
