bernard dunne totally outclassed david martinez in dublin this evening, never looked in any trouble and gave martinez a boxing lesson. Hope he and hunter meet for the european title cos if they do dunne will be the new champ.

Oh yeah the ref stopped it at the end of the eighth round to stop martinez getting seriously hurt.

I'm not gonna be arsed making two posts , here's my one from ESB:

Dunne was classy tonight , real classy . Martinez has quick hands but Dunne ducked and rolled to avoid punches beautifully , his jab softened up Martinez nicely and as usual that solid left hook to the body caused his opponent problems . The over hand right was working well tonight too , infact Dunne hit him with almost every shot there is .

The negatives: His cocky attitude , caused him to showboat at times and not get to business ealier(Dunne could have won int he 5th/6th if he had pressed on) .

Hands down while avoiding punches , yes it's great to see Martinez throw a combo of 5/6 punches and Dunne would avoid them Ali style(hands down chin back and just moving head side to side) but eventually he will get caught while doing that and against a bigger hitter than Martinez it could really hurt him .

Other than that everything was great , Bernard Dunne may never become a world champ but I have a feeling that Michael Hunter is gonna be losing his European title soon and it's not to Tuncay Kaya(or Esham Pickering) .

It was great the way Martinez complimented the crowd and Dunne , saying that he really wanted to come back there to fight(the atmostphere was electric) and that Bernard Dunne had made him a fan of his after that fight .
it was also nice seeing Dunne giving Hunter the respect he deserves , whe the interviewer asked if Michael Hunter would want to avoid him after that performance Dunne said: Michael Hunter isn't that type of guy , he doesn't duck opponents . I love to watch Michael Hunter fight and I am a big fan of his .

it was a good card tonight and a thoroughly enjoyable evening .

Fagan by stoppage , he was quite a bit better than Thomas by the looks of things too(they only showed highlights on tv)

Glad to hear "The Pink Panther" won.

Top bloke.

Incidently has anyone seen "Thunderbolt" Jonothan O'Brien fight??? If so what's he like.

He's topping a Ken Purchase bill in Birmingham on the 23rd June.

Tom Podmore.

OK, that fight made a true believer of me. I wasn't sure about his prospects against Hunter before, but now I'm convinced he wins easy, unless he does something stupid.

He really made Martinez look like a novice, not a former American amateur champ and 17-1 in the pros.
