Did anyone see Malignaggi on skys valuev show last nite? He looks in tremendous shape and i reckon he is going to out-box cotto who will keep plodding forward. Malignaggi on points. Does anyone know of any good odds for a Malignaggi win?

I have not seen a lot of Mallignagi but from what i ahve seen i dont give him much of a hope in this fight. He may have his moments, but Cotto is very very good at applying steady continuos pressure and i think he will break Mallignagi down and stop him in the middle to later rounds.

I also think its possible Mallignagi could spoil this fight by constant back-pedelling. Lets hope not!

What about the way he talks? Annoying to say the least. I had heard him before but he never rambled that fast - nerves I reckon.

Maybe she had a finger up his arse and kept wiggling it?

he talks so much it pisses me off. it's like he's trying to convince himself. or that if he talks more and more and more, like it gives him bags of personality which it doesn't.

It's almost like he tries to claim he's got power but he can never use it because guys he is fighting turtle up as soon as he hits them....or is it the fact you fight completely overmatched opponents everytime out, and you carry 0 power and some of the most brittle hands east of the Mississippi?

cotto is certainly not a plodder.i think he has ten times the boxing skill of malignaggi.if malignaggi was so skillful he would have stopped a lot more of the low level fighters he has fought,even without heavy one punch power.malignaggi is an illusion.if most of the posters on here were to go in with the likes of peter buckley or any other journeyman,we would see that in comparison with non pro fighters these journeymen would have the skills of sugar ray robinson. malignaggi looks like he has skill when fighting poor opponents. cotto will destroy him with very little resistance.

Unless he's ruined himself making the weight Cotto should blow away this guy, he doesnt have the power to bother Cotto and Miguel will just walk right through him... I'm not convinced about Malignaggi's chin... he tends to fight like someone whose afraid to get hit...

Cotto, if anything, is becoming underrated. His management really need to move him up to welterweight asap though because he can't keep fighting light punchers like Malignaggi at light welter and he can't have another fight like the Torres one either. He is weight drained and his stamina and punch resistance are being affected by it badly. At the higher weight I think he will look more impressive and win a world title fairly quickly.

didnt look too nervous when he was mocking cotto by offering him sips from his bottle of water. He's an interesting character who could spring an upset should cotto faulter due to the weight loss.

Malignaggi will get taken out.

Paulie seems fast enough to give the drained looking Cotto problems though.

Ottke also had power, just never opened it up...everytime Malignaggi opens it up, he breaks his hand. He never sets his feet, and if he does vs Cotto he's gonna get his head caved in...
