Firpo imo. Carpentier had gained too much weight and willard was a bit of a stiff.

Dempsey was past his prime, but I'd say one of his top wins was over Jack Sharkey.

I like the Willard bout because he just beat the bejesus out of Willard, but the Firpo was by far his most exciting and one that he most certainly dealt with adversity in and came back to score the knockout.

Are we talking about quality of opposition? Then either Fulton or Miske.
Firpo was an exciting fight but the Argentenian was a stiff with a punch, the Gerry Cooney of the 1920s minus the white hope angle with lesser skills.
