I always thought David Pearce was an Eglish socccer player who was really great in shooting penalties.

David was an extremely tough and strong fighter with a huge heart who sadly didnt get much luck and what he did get seems to have been bad. He gave Rodriguez a good go for the Europeon Heavyweight title despite going into the fight with a bad hand which wrecked his training and I belive that he spent the night before the fight sleeping in a Railway waiting room... very sad when he was stopped from boxing and even sadder when he died so young... I think he definately deserves soem sort of memorial in his home town... after all he was a champion who gave the best years of his life to the sport he loved and entertained a lot of people along the way.... he should be remembered...
