ah well....it looks like Krencey was slightly better prepared and lasted a round longer this time.
All hail the new British champ Scot Gammer..... hes a good boxer with a lot of potential. hes made his way slowly to 17 undefeated and definately looks good enough to move into the european realm.
hes had tougher opps than Audley.... and a fight with Michael Sprott would be really good...
after the dust has settled on the Williams/skelton war it looks like Gammer is the next new hope

Gammer simply too strong, not sure what the BBC and ITV teletext saw.... This wasn't a close fight - Krence was brave but isn't a heavyweight. He landed some nice clean shots, especially early - but it didn't bother Scott at all - Gammer's aggression won most of the early rounds and by the 5th it was pretty much one way traffic.
Biggest difference between the two - but it was apparent from the off.
Will be doing a write up for BBN.

I have to say, Last nights performance was pretty impressive - I'm not so sure I'd fancy Sprott to beat him. We know Sprott can fold under pressure, and does he have the power to keep Scott off?
Still has major flaws, like stops and regroups after every 2-3 punch combination and drops his guard too much for my liking... but that was about the best I have seen him box amateur or proffesional. So I still think its more a poor analysis of the current devision (domestically and globably) than Gammer's ability if he does go any futher... But, I won't laugh off any posters suggestion that Gammer couldn't beat anyone in the UK and maybe beyond.

Gammer v Sprott would be the next step for Gammer IMO, it throws up enough problems for Gammer without being a huge step up in class. Sprott would stand a good chance to win the fight as well, certainly an interesting match-up.
Think you might see Gammer's managment try for an easier first defense though ,maybe Micky Steeds or Carl Baker

It will be interesting to see who the bbbofc will propose. With all respect to Krence, last night Gammer-Sprott would have been a no-brainer for me personally. (Sprott's EU title doesn't make him inneligable for the British title or any nonsense like that btw.)
Audrey v Gammer or Sprott would be interesting. However, I don't see Harrison fighting in a UK ring again, unless there is a huge turnaround in results for him, and obviously something like that wouldn't get on the US market.
Given that Skelton is 'gone' for now, maybe Steeds could fight McDermott, although the latter is also proposed to fight Sprott.

Good write-up stu.
Some sorely needed publicity for what has been a fight sadly and completely shunned by all the papers and TV. Granted, Krence and Gammer are not names compared to Skelton, Harrison or even Sprott, but for a British heavyweight title fight, this has been totally/overly neglected imo.

dare i say it....... i blame the very handsome allegedly for tacking on british and wbu and commonwealth status to so many of the heavyweight fights..... Williams and Skelton would have been huge draws with or without titles...they are fringe world class....
the match up of Gammer v Krence was what the Lonsdale belt is all about..... it means something to these guys....
do Skelton or Williams really give a damn about whether their fights are for the commonwaelth or the british or the wbu....NO
i for one welcome new THE BRITISH HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION SCOT GAMMER
and with the likes of Sprott/Baker/ Steeds/ and now Millarvie and Dolan knocking about i think the next 18 months at this level could be interesting.

Danny already has one outright so it shouldn't matter to him now.
