Heavyweight Ray Impelletiere.

Ray Impelletiere was a gaint of his day who fought a few good fighters during his career. Does anyone here know more about him or have any pictures etc of him?

Interesting topic because at that time there seemed to be quite a few very large HWs. Impelletiere, Campollo, Carnera and Santa would all be considered “oversized” even among todays HWs.

Do you think this may have been due to there being few other professional sports around at the time to entice the real gaints away from Boxing as there is today such as Football (USA) & Basketball etc?
