Hope the Beeb mean a tent that decreases the amount of Oxygen.
Long as he wins then I'm happy.

An oxygent tent in Burger King car park.
It makes you wonder if they are using the oxygent tent to boost the training he is already doing, or to try and cut corners. Lets not forget Williams is a lazy bastard.

An oxygen tent is not going to win or lose this fight - Williams dedication to his diet and hard training will..
He is far the more skillful man, but if he could demonstate the single minded attitude Skelton exemplifies, he could have gone further in his career.
C'mon Danny get your weight down, get your head right and lets see what you can are really do!

Sounds like Jimmy Mac is fast running out of ideas in his never ending quest to get DW fit.
An oxygen tent now?? I suppose running up a few hills was out of the question....
What next, acupuncture/weight reduction massage, followed by an unhappy ending? ( ie Jim does the massage )
I bet he comes in even heavier for the rematch.
And does anyone really buy Frank's line on "lining up the winner for a world title"?
For Danny I'm afraid the train has left the station.

The idea of an oxygen tent I thought was to get extra oxygen into the tissues, so it would be pure oxygen he was breathing. Better not spark a fag in there or crack a particularly violent fart or he'll be sent into orbit.

anyone know who the referee is. I'll go for Parris or Vann.

Least he showed he's trying to get lighter when he weighed 263 last time which was lighter than when he fought Tyson.

Nice one for that, trying not to laugh too hard infront of my mum.

I'm not so sure on the oxygen thing too much though. Thought they might of been imitating being up at high altitude to increase the red blood cells.

He was 3 pounds lighter Vs Serin though.

The winner deserves a European title shot in my opinion. Wonder why he took the rematch though when he had the mandatory until he took this rematch though. Now that bum Virchis is getting it and he couldn't even beat Sprott.

The whole oxygen tent thing sounds like bullshit to me, surely every athlete would be doing it if it was such a great idea and it hasn't done Michael Jackson any favours.
Wayne Rooney is supposed to have used one to make his broken foot heal faster but for fitness improvement...?

BBC reported Danny's been using an oxygen tent for last 2 months..how come this is first we heard of it?
Besides it's not red blood cells Danny is lacking, it's confidence & talent. Sounds like a crock of shit to me too.

Danny could always try a revolutionary training regime that, while hard on the body, guarantees results; train hard and eat sensibly
Living/training/sleeping in an oxygen tent is farcial !

Heard he was pushing his family in car around block when training for Tyson fight. That's what he needs, oh yeh and go easy on Mr Kiplings!

Yes, this all smacks of horseshite. As far as I am aware, the only people who really benefit from oxygen tents are people who have impaired breathing due to illness.

It's Howard Foster. I'll do a little piece on BBN on it in a bit.

i can only assume by oxygen tent they actually mean a tent that simulates living at high altitude....
This can be extremely beneficial as shown in athletics where living and training at altitude has given the Kenyans and Ethiopians a huge advantage over their european counterparts. Of course many europeans such as Paula Radcliffe now spend a lot of time living and training at altitude to get the body used to working in an environment with less oxygen. The trick being that when you return to a normal altitude with much more oxygen in the air you can perform better.

That isn't an oxygen tent, it's a hyperbaric chamber I believe.

I know that, but i dont think the article does.....
an oxygen tent as you rightly suggest increases the oxygen availible, so how the hell is that gonna "make your lungs burn"???
to me it is clear he is talking about an oxygen reduced environment

He should send his kipling cakes to me.
Or his missus needs a ton of padlocks.

In fact I was wrong, it's a barometric chamber, one where you can raise or lower the air pressure in the room. Typical floppy BBC reporting.

With a less lenient ref, I think Skelton gets ko'd this time.

There's no way Howard will let him get away with the 'naughties' that Terry did, that's for sure. Don't think Williams was angelic himself, though...

He's probably sitting in this tent thing eating cakes and biscuits.

I do think Williams overplayed it a bit with the constantly falling to the ground though it could just have been gravity playing it's part as he is in cosmological terms a 'massive body.'
The trouble with Skelton is that almost his entire game plan is based around roughhouse tactics, he lands with forearms, elbows, the head, and spends as much time wrestling and mauling as he does attempting to land punches.
Take that away from him, and what you are left with is a big aggressive lump with very poor technique, although In the fight prior, I thought Skelton's jab looked a lot better, but in the rought and tumble of a genuine fight, I think all technique gets forgotten.
