I read on the Website that Billy Trueman was known as; Kid Trueman. This is a mistake. My GGrandfather Harmon Trueman was "Kid" Trueman, and in fact fought Billy Trueman. He KO'ed Billy in 1 Round. This occured New Years Eve 1898. It can be found in the archives of the; "Brooklyn Eagle" Newspaper which can be obtained online.
I came to this site hoping to find a way to search out Information on My GGrandfather. I then noticed the mistake, and felt I should bring it to Your attention.
With that said; Where can I find more info on turn of the Century Boxing in NYC?. I would like to research My Family. Thanks. .ED

Possible, but not according to the Newspaper accounts I have found. Billy was always called Billy, and My GGrandfather was called; Kid.
