Does anyone know who will be Taz Jones' replacement for the big Cardiff bill on Saturday week.
I hope Ceri Hall has been given the chance, decent enough boxer and the Celtic title can also still be on the line.

Didn't know Jones was out?!?!?!
Think it may be a little soon for Hall, I think Tony would be too much for him.

Nah he aint, he's Welter; the weight at which he holds his Celtic title.
I reckon he could boil his lazy arse down to light welter if he really tried.

Doherty is now fighting a Belarussian in an eight-rounder.

Agreed Doc is a lazy git, imagine having to way in on the day? fatty would/could make welter but can he last. Hall perhaps could make lightweight the day before, still two sizes smaller. Big prob this weighing in system.

Definately can see what your saying nicenut, although not sure Hall can make Lightweight. He fought for the EU Light Welter title two fights ago, and was a Welterweight on the Gammer vs Krence undercard (albeit a low key undercard fight, but one which he was prepared for - he was always announced as appearing on the undercard).
Yes, I didn't mean to suggest Hall seriously thinking he could win, but I think he would have done okay and it would have been enjoyable. Hall isn't an undefeated hot prospect, so I thought he would have jumped at the chance.
I do hope he gets a chance to show of his skills to a wider audience than Paul Boyce undercards (no disrespect intended) in the near future. A neat little boxer.

Stu, i get pissed off with the crap side off this game, a lot of people dont know the in's and out's. Hall did have plenty of notice, but an opponent could not be found untill two day's prior, billy would of fought at walkabout weight therefore hall would of put weight on. Had hall been matched 3 weeks before, possibly could of made 9 11 for example. Doc has always had time to prep, yet i bet at 10 7 on the day would be drained. We need to go back to on the day weighins, as the system is being abused
