Yeah, caught this story twice in the esteemed Currant Bun this week....

Some would argue not the brightest of crimes.... maybe he gets hit too much and should retire.....

Unfortunatly the 'Mobility' motor that Jones was getting , proves that there are many loopholes in the system.

Some benefits such as this are not checked by giving regular medicals. Something that is currently being addressed.
The scheme when used probly is excellent, i've a family member who has severe problems and the use of the car is the only way he could resonably get about.

I am commenting on facts here, not supposition.

Working while signing on is one thing, but faking long term (in this case many years) illness and benefitting from the excellent disabled driving system is the actions of a greedy, selfish w@nkstain who is taking this country for a ride.

As long as Keith pays back evey penny of the thousands he has cheated from the system I dont mind but I know that wont be the case. What exactly does Keith 'give back' as you say, other then get well paid for boxing regularly? You are talking utter 5hite

Keith was working fulltime legit, and boxing in between, just didn`t cancel the car on mobility....hardly sat on his arse living the life of a pampered student that I imagine you are doing.

And for the record I have nothing what so ever against somebody grabbing a little back, I believe its mostly the jealous types that object the most...and if they knew how to get away with it they would be doing it the most

Claiming to have a disability when you don't have one, or don't have one anymore is a very nasty thing to do even more so when you are getting financial benefits by doing so.

I am no student - I work full time and have done all my life.

Keith wasnt 'grabbing a little back' as you make it so innocently sound, he was defrauding money and services from a very worthy and important sector of the NHS.

I value my health and thank my lucky stars everyday that I am fit and healthy enough to go out and GRAFT for a living to provide for my family. As you say Keith was grafting, boxing and STILL wanted more - greed is an ugly character trait.

There are loads of people out there defrauding this sysem with bogus claims and all are scumbags in my eyes. Anyone can tell he doctor they are depressed, have a bad back ec and get signed off work long term through being idle but I for one have PRIDE, self worth and can stand on my own two feet in life and pay my bills with help from no-one.

Whilst i totally agree that it is wrong for people to collect benefit whilst they are fit like Kieth Jones did, I can understand some of what tonevy is saying. I am indeed off work with BACK problems, and some right wing dickheads on here and in society in general would deny people like me anything other than the most basic existence. I only wish that they could go through this constant pain and not be able to lean over the basin in the mornings to even clean their teeth without it feeling like the osteo-arthritis we've got is stabbing you in the spine. Its not like a poofy toothache that you can get rid of by having it pulled its never ending day and night. However some pricks would have us living in a room with a bare light bulb with no access to a TV, never mind a computer, and probably licking envelopes for tuppence per thousand so that some fat greedy mail order company wanker can buy his fat slag of a wife a new Mercedes.

Andy Mac i am very sorry to hear about your condition but it doesnt relate to what tonyevs was saying because Keith Jones IS NOT disabled. Nobody here has stated any problem with their tax money going out in the right amounts to the right people etc. so tonyevs is bang out snapping at people and dishing abuse. If he wants to have a go at someone about the lack of money given to help the disabled find their feet (pun not intended), then he is in the wrong place, as no one has done anything more than object to Jones' fraud.

I think you have mis read my posts Andy if you assume I am either right wing, or that I want to see those who have GENUINE ailments left to rot.

Quite the opposite.

My ire is reserved for those who defraud and steal from the state with bogus disability claims, such as tonyevs and his mate Keith Jones. They steal from those such as yourself, who genuinely deserve and qualify for invalidity assistance and they create a certain level of distrust amongst the general population for those afflicted by a debilitating long term illness.

The problem of fraud of disability allowance is reaching endemic proportions in this country and needs to be stamped out by more stringent medicals and investigations into those cases that warrant it. Therefore the money will go to those who deserve and need it, not lazy chancers who decide to get signed off 'on the sick'

How is it not legit for Ian to claim if he was out of work? It's perfectly acceptable for anyone who is out of work and not pulling any money in anywhere to claim, so what?

I'd rather give my taxpaying money to an asylum seeker trying to make a better life for themselves, or even an economic migrant who is finding it hard to establish a new life, than a pisstaking bastard who is fighting for a living whilst claiming he is bloody well disabled.

This is inexcusable, if he fights for a living, he is clearly not disabled, and therefore should not have abused the system to get a subsidised car.
