I've not read that article yet, but a few months ago there was an interview with him on a website, and he did come across ok.
Was basically trying to keep himself to himself, and not fall back into drug taking. Hope he's kept to that.

I have, and while Pernell seems to be a bit of a prick (how high was he during the rant) I did think that BM did fuss over it a bit much. The article was fine, but the digs in the Bunce piece and I think in another piece made me think "hang on, this isn't a Dave Hilton esque crime here".
Without condoning what Pernell did, perhaps he is feeling a little aggreived that the boxing world hasn't payed him some sort of honour yet - although he is a shoe in when eligable.
