chicago boxers from the 40's

I am wonder if any one here has any information on a fighter out of chicago with the last name of Birkett, I am not sure of the first name, he fought during the mid to later 40's and early 50's, his son Joe Birkett is currently running for illinois state attornery general, if any one has information I would be very thankful, send to [email protected]
