Anyone have any info on Kev Andersons next opponent?
I dont think a Mutt rematch is going to happen now and was wondering if anyone has heard anything.
Jennings or Ali would be good opponents.
Has Jennings quit? , not heard much from his camp, he is about 30 yrs old now (I think)

Jennings was scheduled to fight a TBA on the doomed (although still up on here) 15th July bill in Manchester.
His fight didn't get carried over to the Cardiff card tonight, but I assume he hasn't quit.

Jennings is supposed to be fighting McNeil in Bolton in final eliminator for fighting Anderson.
Could end up changing to Jennings vs Takaloo for Tak's WBU title though.

Isn't there talk of a Tak v Ross Minter for the Bolton bill?
Jennings still has plenty to offer the sport, he's only lost 1 close decision to Muttley in his career.
A fight against Anderson would be interesting, remember Anderson was losing badly to Muttley when he pulled out that punch, Jennings handled Muttley with more ease.

Minter v Tak was scheduled for London in september but apparently Minter is likely to miss it after picking up a cut.

Very true... Perhaps Mutley's confidence grew as a champion, but looking at the two performances vs Mut. I'd have to pick Jennings, although a quite wary of his punch resistance letting him down.
Jennings was gutted with his performance, seemed like something was missing vs Mut. "I'm fighting crap" was one of the negative things he said to Bryan Hughes.

The Bolton bill looks a bit rubbish...M'baye is the headliner isnt he?

Anderson should give Muttley a rematch.
Glimour probably wouldn't put Anderson near Muttley again though.

What are you talking about? Anderson boxed fairly poorly by his own admission and still managed to beat Muttley, it would be a totally different story if they were to fight again, Ando would win a lot easier next time. As for a match with Jennings, wee Ando would burst him, Jennings been down a few times but Ando wouldn't let him off the hook once he had him. Go on Kev.

Muttley KO's Ando in a rematch. :P

Anderson as been down aswell one by Mutley who did not hurt Jennings and he took some full on left hooks off Mutley.

If a rematch did happen it would most likley be on Kev's turf and I cant se Mut making much of an impact there.
Mut was the one who said he didn't want a rematch afterwards.
I had Kev 2 rnds down going into the 10th so it was not as 1 sided as some think.(imo)

I'd disagree with that, thought Jennings was hurt in some stages.

Jennings was hurt by Mutley. I would favour Anderson in a return fight with Mutley, even on his best night and Anderson's worst Mutley couldn't force the stoppage. Anderson would win a return quicker IMO.

If Mutley can outbox Ando quite comfortably like last time then he can sure do it again.
I'd disagree with that, thought Jennings was hurt in some stages.
He did stun him a couple of times yeah.
Mut was the one who said he didn't want a rematch afterwards.
Well why does Boxing Monthly have Mutley quoted as saying that Ando nearly had a heart attack when he asked for a rematch then?

Kev will fight anyone, his fight against Joshua Okine, although not as exciting was a much harder nights work for Kev.
I doubt it would have been Kevs words claiming he nearly haad a heart attack, sound like Mutleys camps frustration talking.
Anyway, Mutley said he didn't want a rematch live on Sky Sports, so there's no way he can deny it.
Kev lost rounds 2( 10-8 ),4,5,6, and won rounds 3,8,9,10( with rnnds 1&7 shared imo) not the onesided affair that most peeps are claiming.
Every write up from ringside journo's that I have read has about the same opinion as mine,
Apparently the judges had Mut 5 rounds up but I think they must need new specs(prob just a rumour though)

And BM quoted Muttley wanting a rematch so theres no denying that either. If Muttley did it the first time then theres no reason why he can;t do it again.

Thats the very point though, he didn't do it the first time.
Kev was up against a hostile away crowd at the lions den, an English ref, three English judges and still put his man away.
All the little extra's that can benefit a fighter (crowd, hometown etc) were in Mutts favour and he couldn't do it.
Mutt was supposed to be the power puncher but ironically it was him that was KO'd
In Kevs defence, when Mutt went down in round 2 it was a punch that done it, he was cut, stunned on a couple of occasions and still pulled through, if Mut lost to him again it would ruin his chances of progressing any further at his age(30) Kev is young enough to come back from defeat so Mut has a lot more to lose than Ando.

Ando should of been disiplined not to let the hometown thing get to him.
If Muttley improves his stamina for a rematch I can see him out boxing him again.

Anderson was well behind on my card and needed a knockout to win....which he got.
Mutley said he was going back down in weight, so it is highly unlikely there will be a rematch.

Let me just put one thing to rest, Kev didn't nearly have a heart attack when Muttley asked for a rematch, cause it didn't happen, simple as that! IMO Kev would handle Muttley a lot better if any rematch was made. Your right he was put down with Muttleys punch, but if you watch it again he practically bounced back up. That was Muttleys one chance to beat Kev and he blew it, I don't think Muttley will box as well as that again in his life, I hope I'm wrong but time will tell. If Kev meets Jennings he will k.o. him early, far too strong, and Kev takes a hell of a punch (as you already saw i his last fight) Ando will rule domestically until he moves on to something bigger

Jenning's getting stopped early? He took flush punches from Muttley and didn't go down! Jennings has the experiance to win too.

Anderson's fight with Mutley will have done him a 'power of good'. Anderson showed grit and determination to fight through a fearful beating and still come out the otherside and get the W.
Anderson was a classy amatuer and has proven himself against Mutley. I would make him a slight favourite to beat Jennings.
Jennings hasn't had to fight like Anderson had too against Mutley.
Mutley will be back out late September early October.
Then the vacant English title fight with John O'Donnell
Tom Podmore.
