HAven't heard this one mentioned anywhere...is it still on or did it just fade away??

Maybe nobody wants to stage it. Isn't Corley Don King fighter? It's quite possible Don has no interest in staging it, and is it true that at present hennessy aren't direct promoters?

I read on the current scene they are looking at September for this one.

I hope witter gets his chance, would be a great shame if this fell through due to lack of interest. Problem is that neither fighter is considered a draw, so might have to be as part of a bigger card. I can see this fight being in the states as a result.

Witters story is a sad one that gets sadder as the weeks and months drag on.

How at the age of 32 on an 18 fight winning run can he be inactive since last October?

Combination of being stiched up and frozen out by SN and pulling out of a couple of big fights himself....

Shame really, I was never one of these people insisiting Junior was going to smash Hatton to smithereens etc but he is a very talented fighter and it's a realy shame when you don't get to see a fighter find out what his true potential really is.

Really makes me question the worth of following boxing, it really does.....

You know I would never of gave Witter a chance prior to seeing Hatton in with Collazo, always thought Junior was a bit too lazy down the stretch, but now I'm thinking it would be no blowout for Hatton, well at 147 that is.

witter deserves a title shot.

6 yrs unbeaten and still nothing.

fighters like witter are the reason the sanctioning bodies serve a purpose in boxing.

without the wbc putting him at no1, witter would be getting absolutely no opportunities.

Collazo is a genuine welterweight, and has a far better orthodox defence than Jr.

I think with his style inactivity will hurt Witter a lot more than most fighters. Especially as he seems to gas late in fights, he really needs to get some rounds in if possible before fighting Corley.
