Sorry, I cannot find the thread that mentioned some of the new rules the NSAC brought out. I brought up the point regarding why isn't sports drinks allowed to be consumed.
Guess what? It IS part of their new guidelines.
Here is a quote from Fightnews regarding Pacquiao vs Morales III from Pac Man's manager, Shelley Finkel.
Interviewer: Being that Morales goes through hell to make 130, it would seem a definite that he'll be consuming a sport drink during the fight, thus narrowing any advantage that Manny might have. What are your thoughts on this, and especially the Nevada Commission's new rule?
Finkel: I think the new rule is great! A lot of the injuries in boxing, I believe, are due to dehydration. And, if this can stop it... if it can help one person, it's worth it. As far as looking at this as a disadvantage, I don't want to win because of someone getting hurt or seriously injured. So, Morales is more than welcome to drink it during the fight!

Great new ruling, and good too see Finkel is taking it as a positive also.
