Base on data from this site, Jaimes J. Jeffries lost his world heavyweight title to Jack Johnson via TKO15 as his last fight.

No...Jefferies had retired as Heavyweight champion, his title was vacated, and Marvin Hart won the claim as champion, then Tommy Burns beat Hart, and then Johnson beat Burns.

Jefferies came out of retirement after 6yrs inactivity and shed in excess of 100 pounds to face Johnson, not so much because he believed he could win back his title, or that he wanted to come back and fight again, it was due to public out-cries.

Johnson and Jefferies squared off, and it was for Johnson's Heavyweight crown, though in alot of the public eye, Jefferies never lost the title to begin with, but officially it was for Johnson's Heavyweight title, and Jefferies lost by TKO in the 15th.

**********************************************************

Now if the title claim of Luther McCarty is permitted, McCarty never really lost his title, he just died after a light punch hit him in the jaw---it can be arguable that he did lose it, but in my opinion, he was a walking dead man due to a prior injury he suffered while performing as a "cowboy" in a rodeo show and was urged not to fight.

But if we go by fighters with no controversy as to their records, Gene Tunney retired undefeated AS champion, not that he was truly undefeated, as he lost to Greb in his caeer years before.

***********************************************************

Btw are we talking any title or are we talking about world title(s)?

As I always mention...the format is terrible here on the forum, but below is a list of all fighters to retire undefeated, but it is an incomplete list as there are probably more obscure fighters that have retired without a loss and possibly a few better known guys that I have missed.

Indeed,Notice had to retire with eye trouble. Can't help but laugh when you see Ottke listed as undefeated. His must be the most misleading record in boxing history,as the old saying goes you had to knock him out to get a draw.

I'll never forget the Robin Reid fight, when Reid was warned by the 'referee' for punching Ottke! Unbelievable.

He retired, and was then talked into an ill-advised comeback (just see Irish pointed that out already).
