I have heard that some people think it is tyson. Do you know more?

I read an article from an old newspaper a couple years ago that tested the punching power of Bob Fitzsimmons, Jim Jeffries and Sam Mcvey, which Fitzsimmons scored something like 1100. Jeffries 1200 and McVey was the highest at around 1300. I haven't been able to locate that article since though.

i have heard a couple of people say that bruno,foreman,ruddock and tyson were all in a punching tournament . They all had their power punching measured and bruno came first and tyson came last . I have yet to receive proff that this punching tournamenr happened . Another guy told me that he read on a K1 site that tysons punches packed 6 tonnes of pressure which sounds extreme. Jan have you heard about tysons punching power being measured?.

Say what you like about Eric Esch as a fighter... But man, he can crack. He's actually pretty fast - I tell you what, in a pound-for-pound sense, he may be the fastest fighter of all time! Seriously. Compare his speed to the other men his size.

Anyone can ounch fast for one round...

I remember Evander Holyfield was in this late night show and they had a punching bag that measured their punches. All the guests were measuring their punches, then Evander came and just TAPPED it and beat everyone there.

so far we havent discovered the punching power of even one modern heavyweight on this forum.

OK, so maybe some were tested, but without some knowledge of how each fighter was tested, and what the total test conditions were when they were measured, they are of absolutely no value.

The thing is unless they are all punching the same machine, on the same day, and all are in fighting shape then we have to take any comparisons with a degree of skepticism.

well i read that tyson punch is the equivalent of a 16 lb sledgehammer hitting you at 35 mph . Dose anyone know how to convert that in to pounds per square inch?.

Why is this preposterous? Tyson was bigger, stronger and threw much faster punches. Why is it hard to believe he punched harder than Marciano?

I think you're find that report was about Bruno's punch not Tysons. I remember reading that fact about Bruno in the run up to his first fight against Tyson

no tysons punch was measured for a video game and his punch was found to be harder than brunos.
