I thought all the live wkend fights from the states had finally come to an end for the summer, so the news of this fight was to be shown came as a pleasant surprise.
Will watch this much faded version of Roy with interest, but I hope he hangs em up soon.

How can you not find RJJ interesting? Its not like Holyfield or Francis who you know are going to slowly trudge to a points loss. With RJJ its the question whether he is so shot that this unknown contender could even cause the sudden & cataclysmic knockout that looms everytime RJJ now fights.
I know its kind of depressing but it still is entertaining but im interested in any fight that features a boxer ive followed regardless of how old they are these guys who say 'im not gonna watch it!' are usually bullshitting as if you boycotting the fight makes any frickin difference.

It's a nothing bullshit fight though, even if Roy does win, so what? Just means he's got enough left to beat a B - level fighter, that's all. If he loses, it just confirms that he's shot to hell. Either way, I don't really give much of a toss.

Yeah but i like boxing & i will find watching even an ageing Roy Jones fight entertaining. Im not judging it in the grand scheme of things i just want to watch a boxing match and i also get to judge how little RJJ has left with the added bonus nobody has a clue what the outcome will be.

It must be costing them sod-all. How Roy has fallen....
Still, I'll be watching. I think I might have a flutter on Ajamu as well, despite having never seen him in action.

amazin really how Jones has fallen since all drugs allegations...makes you wonder if his always bending the rules when he was fighting on his own shows in his home town????
i kon he went to Heavyweight but his true skills have never really been the same since the drugs stopped

I haven't watched boxing on Eurosport for ages. It was always bad European or lower level American shows with Holdsworth banging on about how bad the sport was. Got tired of his 'Ah back in my day.....' bullshit.
I'll definately watch this though.

Its on the Sky Digital scheduler for 2am Sunday morning on Eurosport.
Boxing legend Roy Jones Jnr pits himself against fellow American Prince Badi Ajamu. Jones, a former world champion across three weight divisions, is looking for a return to winning ways.

I could get RJJ taking Roids for months up until a few days before the fight and he'd go undetected.

Sorry to harp on but it's on my on-screen SKY TV guide and is being advertised on Eurosport.
Holdworth & Co. were also talking about the shown on last nights Boxing show from Germany

ah well, i won't trust in What's On TV ever again
they're usually wrong when it comes to Eurosport - they say such and such a fight is on, then when the programs on you usually get a worst fight. i remember looking for O'Neil Bell-Rothmann and ended up with some real bottom of the bill crap, probably the undercard to Cisse salif-Tua
I repent

But will Sonia and Martin get back together?
That's the BIG question.

wonder how many fights we saw Roy Jones and how many we saw Roid Jones.
fancy taking steroids to fight richard hall - a limited fighter who happened to be the only puncher Jones had fought in god knows how long.
there are ppl who believe that he was on the roids for ruiz. lot of rumours going round.
