I have to hand it to Erdei. Tonight he fights Ulrich, someone who has a pulse. I'm on the verge of calling it interesting. Could well go to points, in which case will the judges be on Ulrich's side?

Poor heavyweight fights on the undercard. Dimitrenko fights Chad Van Sickle, who should probably be fighting at cruiser, although I suspect he will get taken to a decision.

SSS, who is dangerously high up in the WBC's rankings once again, fights Montana, and should get a mid-late stoppage.

As an aside, Sauerland (the above being Universum) is putting on quite an interesting card in September. Marco Huck, who I think has been brought along at a nice pace, fights Aurino for the EU title, who would just about have passed for a Woods voluntary.

Another interesting one (perhaps not to watch, but with an interesting outcome) is Hoffman-Koc. I think Hoffman handles Koc quite easily though.

I really like Erdei's style - I thought he looked 'the goods' against Gonzalez but he has struggled in subsequent fights.

Nice to see a promoter matching his best fighters in teh same weight category - a few of our domestic match makers could take heed from this.

Van Sickle is awful at cruiserweight, and he could probably make 175lbs if he got off the surplus weight. I'd be amazed if he took Dimitrenko the distance. I've seen Van Sickle on ESPN once or twice (shown on Channel 5 here in the UK) and he's very poor. I expect the Germans are paying him well for this one.

Mmm.. Ulrich vs Edrei certainly sounds interesting. When this match was first announced I wasn't that pleased cause Ulrich had just come off a comprehensive defeat vs Adameck and what should have been a points loss to Matthew Barney.

However, on paper this is probably Edrei's hardest ask as a champion (in what so far has been a dissapointing championship reign). Garay proved to be a tough fighter (I think Edrei lost twice) but prior to the first meeting, no one gave the Argie much of a chance.

The win over Branco is looking better in light of last weeks result.

Edrei has been so poor since Gonzales I see this as a 50:50 fight, and might even edge to Ulrich outworking him. This fight is going the distance IMO.
