Btw, in the first round Baer got a few nice shots in. When Baer openened up to add more, Louis landed these short hard counterpunches right through the middle that shattered Baer, and from then on it was all Louis.
Most of you will probably know that cornerman Jack Dempsey told Baer after round 1 "you're doing a great job, kid, he hasn't hit you", and Baer replied "then you better watch out for the ref, because someone in there is knocking the hell out of me".
