I made a video clip of some knock downs and a put a few of terry norris fights and man i forgot how good he was, i never got to see him in his prime, but man he had power and good skills, but not the greatest chin. But very explosive fighter.

Heres the video, his fights are towards to end. Let me know what you think of the video.

Man, his fights with Santana are some the most memorable fights...the winner leaves on a stretcher after like 4 rounds.

fornicate Santanna, he won the title twice by faking he was hurt by the illegal blows. But Norris was crazy like that, he was a pit bull always on attack mode.

LOL!! What a mockery that was. The final one was on ABC sports before a big night of a big card of fights. Was that a Tyson card? I don't quite remember.

Oh man Norris was on a tear at one time he was ranked only behind Cesar Chavez on the pound-for pound list and then he lost to a guy by the name of Simon Brown by 5th. round KO. That nixed any chance of Chavez and Norris getting together. He then had a dispute with Don King and his career was pretty much over. His career ended on EPSN 2 in a boring fight against Dana Rosenblatt who held the entire fight. He was exciting. I never thought his career got over that last hump into greatness though. Big power KO's against Blocker, Joe Gatti, Santana. I am glad you brought this up.

OK, I looked at the video, just a couple of things. The referee who was counting the guy out on the very last knockdown is a retard. Certifiably retarded and should never referee again. The guy was out before he hit the floor and there is the ref counting? What an idiot.

2) Who wre the two HW's fighting in that video? There was a white guy in black trunks and a black guy in blue trunks. I could not tell which way it was going to go. It looked like Maskaev. And what was that referee doing stopping that fight? It could have gone either way. Looked like a bad stoppage. Someone knows, help me out.

Did Norris die or something?

You are right the ref didn't need to count that guy was out cold. The fight you're talking about are Cruiserweights, thats Felix Cora v. Vandim Tokarev, it was an awsome fight while it lasted. As you seen as Cora got control instead of getting a breather he goes right after Tokarev, it was on the undercard of Julio Diaz v. Ricky Quiles ppv.

........and reason i put on the title Remebering Terry Norris is cause as mentined i put a video together with some of his fights and it just brought back good memories. Hes a skillful, powerfull fighter. Always brought excitment. And he totally outclassed Simon Brown in the rematch. And right now theirs no one like him, though I think in my opinion Fernando Vargas compares to him because Vargas too is an exciting fighter.

Yea, I liked Norris vs Sugar Ray. A well over the Hill Learnord either had the biggest balls in boxing history or was high on Coke when he signed that fight. If I remember correctly Norris was beating the Fvck out of him and Ray kept looking at Terry with sorry eyes as though saying, " Please dont hurt me, Im a living legend." One big difference between Vargas and Norris. Norris was quick and explosive and Vargas is slow and predictable.

Norris did have faster hands then Vargas but i think Vargas could be explosive at times when in prime form.

You could never compare Vargas to Norris, Vargas has never been able to hold a title for long & he hasnt beaten so many big names like Terry.

He never got back on track after finally waxing Santana & became almost shot overnight when Keith Mullings beat him. All he had to do was beat Mullings for a major fight with De La Hoya. What a sight that would be.

Only thing i never liked about Terry was that he was always chasing big name fights with guys from the division below him. he was never interested in calling out a Gerald McClellan or Mike McCallum, James Toney etc.

How can anyone with a brain cell compare Norris with Vargas?

Norris had a lot of talent, but his chin was wrecked by Julian Jackson. His KO of Mugabi was classic though.[/b]

I totally agree. In the early 90's Terry Norris and Julian Jackson were brutally knocking out scrubs (e.g.Pat Lawlor) with reckless abandon. Jackson called out norris numerous times because Norris appeared to be getting all the coverage. The rematch never happened. Norris was scared and preferred to take on shot fighters like Meldrick Taylor and Sugar Ray.

Norris is a good fighter, and i enjoyed watching him fight, so i wont get mad and knock him just to prove you wrong.

Vargas didn't hold a title long because he fought the best of the best, thats what happens when you fight the best, somtimes you lose, and somtimes you win.

I like Norris, has power on those quick hands, excellent boxing skills, the only guy IMO who can make SRL look slow (even during his prime).

He was impressive with his quick demolition job on that beast John Mugabi. He was schooling the hard-hitting Julian Jackson when he got careless.

True... didnt think of that. Although Vargas successful defenses are against similar low calibre challengers (ecept Quartey and the dodgy Winky Wright win)

Still say Norris is infinitely more skilled than flat footed slow moving right hand happy Vargas though. Ive never seen Vargas box someones ears off like Norris did Simon Brown in the rematch- awesome.
