Actually Louis himself gave Conn credit for obtaining and holding the title for several rounds during their fight. But he goes on to mention that Conn simply could not seem to hold on to said title and ultimately was forced to relinquish it back to Louis by fights end.

Jim Corbett had good footwork. Tunney ows a lot of his style to him.
Ezzard Charles also had good movement, although he was not a "dancer".
Larry Holmes had excellent legs during his prime.

ezzard charles had very good footwork in the late 1940s....he was very smooth and graceful
