In 1967, a Miami promoter, Murray Woroner wanted to simulate a tournament (by means of a supercomputer). This tournment would have the greatest boxers in history, fighting for the All-Time World Heavyweight Championship.

He reasoned that it would be a straight knock-out tournament and that it would contain 16 of the greatest boxers throughout time. Worner called upon the services of 2 boxing experts to assist him,
Nat Fleischer (Editor of The Ring Magazine) +
Hank Kaplan (President of the World Boxing Historian's Organisation).

After a week's worth of discussions, they narrowed the field down to the last 16 great boxers.

The Supercomputer took 18 months to build and develop and it was fed with extensive video footage, records and information of the 16 boxers. Once it was developed it choose the First Round of Fights At Random...

NOW.

I asked you, my esteemed friends (BOXREC MEMBERS) to re-play the tournment and see who wins...

IT'S OVER THE BOXREC MEMBERS HAVE SPOKEN AND HERE ARE THE RESULTS OF THE FINAL!!!!

I think that alot of the fights went the way that they should have, but I disagree with some, of course. Myself my own rankings of the fighters are:

1.) Muhammad Ali
2.) Joe Louis
3.) Jack Dempsey
4.) Jack Johnson
5.) Rocky Marciano
6.) Bob Fitzsimmons
7.) Jersey Joe Walcott
8.) James J. Jefferies
9.) John L. Sullivan
10.) Gene Tunney*
11.) James J. Corbett
12.) Max Schmeling
13.) James J. Braddock
14.) Jack Sharkey
15.) Max Baer
16.) Jess Willard

*I place Gene Tunney lower than most because he was a better LHW and the bulk of his career was at that weight, his HW championship reign was brief, he avoided greater contenders at HW, and he didn't face that many HW's, plus he drew the color line.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA....

I remember reading here somewhere that, (but I can't remember who said it,)

"BB, some people would say that you talk up Walcott and Charles ina bid to make Marciano look better"....

HA HA HA HA HA HA....

THAT'S LUDICROUS

So, does that mean that anyone who bums up or compliments Tyson are Evander Holyfield fans because he was the man who finished Tyson off...

OR

Does that mean that anyone who bums up Dempsey are Gene Tuney fans because Tunney beat Dempsey?

Sometimes, I just don't understand you peoples' idea of logic.......
