His comments after the fight were well funny he said something along the lines of "what's the point of a rematch, unless I've got me man and me nan as judges I've got no chance."

Still the worst case of in house refereering I think I've ever seen. Short of donning a pair of gloves himself and teeing off on Robin himself, Tillerman couldn't really have done any more to help Ottke.

My sentiments exactly. A thief - and not even a very clever one. Noticed he was judging some title contest the other week. Boxing really doesn't help itself at times. He wants flaying.

This clip makes me think one thing - Amateur boxing has become so sanitised in the last 10 years. Look at these guys - without headguards an slugging it out...

They look like fighters; not the point scoring fencing stuff that passes for amateur boxing these days. Which it was still like this.

Yes, read an interview with allegedly some time back, decrying the state of amateur boxing, and how it had been decline ever since the introduction of headguards. It has definetly become more and more sanitised, people get stopped now for a bloody nosebleed!

Willie DeWitt destroying Cuban heavyweight Pedro Cardenas in two rounds in Las Vegas in 1982. The Canadian was later robbed against Henry Tillman in the Olympic heavyweight final (he'd beaten Tillman twice previously) and chucked in with Bert Cooper as a novice pro.

Willie DeWitt was the golden boy when he turned pro - a white, media friendlly heavyweight slugger who could actualy fight a bit - a million dollar clash with Tyson was no doubt the aim of his backers down the road....but then they had the bright idea of putting him in with the hard punching Bert Cooper - and it was goodnight Willie DeWitt.

Was that for his debut! Bloody hell, that's a big mistake! I remember Cooper had Holyfield in serious trouble during their fight at one point.

No not his debut, it was his meant to be his breakout fight on national TV and Cooper was already a known puncher - he floored DeWitt something like 5 times in two rounds.
