I hear its a classic, anyone know where I can get hold of it?

I would have thought it would be all over the net by now as this 'phenom' has received so much hype..

I looked the other day on youtube.com nothing out there as yet. Also really hope we get to see it. It's got to be in the running for fight of the year.

I hear that channel 5 show late night boxing, maybe it might appear on there in the next couple of weeks, just a thought

Yes, It was on the panamanian TV station "TV Max"

Presumably it was also on Venezuelian TV as well, seeing as you've got the WBA based there.

No doubt the American collectors will have traded for this by now, so I'm guessing a few of them will have Spanish versions of it by next week.

This is my area of speciality. You need to compress it. If you could stick into Final Cut pro or Adobe Studio what to do is bounce it out as an MPEG-4. The quality will be affected no matter what you do but if you reduce it too much it would be horrible. You'll basically have to break it up into about 2, maybe 3 parts in any edit studio that has the ability to bounce it out as MPEG-4 and then bounce the part out individually. The preset is usually as a Quicktime movie so go into the format options and MPEG-4 should be at the bottom. Reduce the frame rate to 25 and set your bits/per sec between 12000 and 16000. I usually set at 14000.
Once it bounces out, sign up for you tube and just upload it from your desk top, section by section. Says sections 1 is the intro plus rounds 1-3, section 3 is rounds 8-10 plus the end replays. Hope it wasn't all too much double dutch.

Ok, I officially declare myself a moron...got the DVD at hand, don't have Adobe Studio, don't know what to do to get it on You tube. Help!

I wouldn't bother with the effort uploading a full fight to youtube becauses theres a good chance they will take it down for copyright reasons. Instead upload it to WBVA..it's a great torrent tracker specifically for boxing, I think they used to be connected to BoxRec.

I'm trying, but when in step 3 while using Auto Gordian Knot, suddenly comes an error message fromn Virtual Dub saying that the source image format is not acceptable...apparently it does not read MPEG 2 Files even if I install the DivX codec :( Any ideas of what to do?

So did you rip the files off the DVD and if so what format are they in?

I've never used AGK. You could try the origional Gordon Knot.

This has lots of DVD-Divx conversion tools, the avi.NET tool looks good.

Well first I used the DVD Decypher, after that step I used the Auto GK, but when converting the DivX into .avi comes the error message from Virtual Dub stating that the format is not acceptable....
The final conversion step is what's giving me problems

Ah right so the fight on your computer now is an .avi file? .avi is the extension of a divx xvid file..

If so then that's great, it will work on all our computers. :)

Have you tried opening it? Try using VLC player if windows player doesn't work. Thanks

Nop, they are still MPEG...converting them to .avi is the problem even if I use the DivX codec

K did you try that avi.NET conversion tool?

I think you are using the default virtual dub which is for editing and compressing .avi files, not .mpeg


This site has 4 different ways of converting the .mpeg to a .avi/divx/xvid

Try the first one, SimpleDivx. That should work.

It also has a download for the Virtual Dub-MPEG 2 version, but you shouldn't need it.

Oh one last thing, does the .mpeg file you have now play on your computer? VLC Player is good, plays almost everything. Also whats the size of the mpeg file in MB's/GB's
