Jack Dempsey vs Harry Wills
Gene Tunney vs George Godfrey
Stanley Ketchell vs Harry Greb
Willie Pep vs Henry Armstrong
Sugar Ray Robinson vs Sugar Ray Leonard
But in my opinion, the GREATEST fight of all time, would be Rocky Marciano vs Jack Dempsey, that would truly be the greatest war in ring history.

Are you calling Sharkey a “small, soft, average white guy”, or do you mean Heeney or Dempsey? I don’t think I’d call any of them one soft.

Mike Tyson -v- Tim Witherspoon 1987.
It's a shame this one didn't happen.
A fit focused Witherspoon with his honey punch, the overhand Right, the same that Boneclutcher stunned Tyson with, would have been a good fight to see.

witherspoon was overweight and unmotivated by 1987. it would have been an easy night for mike
witherspoon ducked mike tyson. he wanted no part of tyson after seeing tyson destroy pinklon thomas(who beat spoon). after tyson demolished tony tubbs( a man who gave spoon a tough time)...spoon basically ran for the hills.
