I hope so! Even though I see Marquez schooling Harrison it would still be a huge fight for him....but his comeback fight?

I'd like to see Scott in with some lesser opp first.

Agreed, but if he wants to keep the strap it apparently has to be Marquez now.

Its been a year since he last fought.

WBO make the rules as they go along (don't they all) - look at the gap Nelson had between his recent fights (since Guilmero Jones he has only fought once a year) - only now they have threatend to strip him.

Brave move by Harrison if he takes JMM on first fight back, WBO rules or not. I just cannot see Harrison winning.

Scott will deserve alot of credit if he faces Marquez who is one of the best technical boxers ive ever seen. He has limitations stylewise like anybody but 99% of what he does he does perfectly and thats the key. There will be no shame if Scott loses. I hope his management realise this and make the fight. After where he has been he will deserve alot of credit for getting back in the ring and facing a great like Marquez.

I can't see Harrison winning a round before being stopped. I can see Harrison ploughing forward as he does with Marquez countering him all night.

Top marks to Scott if this fight goes ahead, it's a brave man who defends his title against Marquez, especially with Scott's problems in recent times. Win lose or draw against Marquez, I'll have a lot of respect for Scott after this.

While a far from ideal comeback opponent for Scott, and clearly one of the best P4P boxers in the game, I wouldn't write off Harrison just yet.

In front of a fired up home crowd, Harrison has a lot to prove, and this is the big fight he's craved for years. He could well make his size advantages pay, and give the smooth boxing Mexican a torrid night. Should be a great fight, and one I'd guess the bookies wont be too confident about either way.

This fight must be signed in few days to be carried out the 9 of November.
Golden Boy Promotions is interested in promoting the fight, but if Harrison
does not sign he will be stripped and Juan Manuel will become the undisputed
WBO champion. Harrison had requested WBO a time of delay of 180 days that began in May.
The Organization mentioned that Harrison, would become the official mandatory until February of 2007.

At what point do bravery and stupidity overlap?
Joking aside, there were probably ways in which Harrison could have avoided this fight but it looks like he hasn't so respect due for that. I have been saying for years however that this is the very worst fight that could be made for him. I think Marquez will dish out a beating

no chance harrison takes this fight. Expect the WBO to whip up an interim belt or something once he is stripped of the 'proper' one.

I agree, sounds too good to be true tbh. Harrison will know that this man is too big of a step imo.

Agree with the last 4 posters. Don't think it will happen. Harrison's management will reluctantly allow him to be stripped of the belt, rather than meet JMM in a fight that they would be apprehensive about even if Harrison was in peak mental and physical condition.
