Darren Rhodes in IBF opportunity.

No, he is not fighting Calzaghe - but is fighting Josef Nagy (I believe the brother of Janos) for the IBF Intercontinental Super Middleweight title. Its in Hungary on September the 9th.
A win for Rhodes would mean a top 15 ranking.
A very hard ask for Rhodes, as Nagy is fighting at home and is undefeated - but he might take encouragement that Danny Thornton took some rounds off him, eventually losing a clear UD - and Rhodes is better than Thornton.

Good fight for Darren, surely being brought in as the "opponent", a good chance all the same.
Was it Janos Nagy who bailed out after that wicked body shot from Jorge Barrios in a WBO undercard fight not so long back? (Barrera-Juarez undercard possibly)

Yes, cracking shot from Barrios - crying shame for Janos though who will probably never get another chance despite being an excellent boxer (he smashed Tontcho Tontchev before Tontcho fought Dean).
Its a shame he never got the opportunity to showcase his skills for a few rounds.

Janos was completly overawed when he faced Barrios, he looked as if he wanted to be anywhere else than in that ring, he was also completly dry, didn't look like he had warmed up at all. It was a shame for Janos he went out of it so quick as he is a nice boxer, but thats boxing.

Darren is one of (if not the) nicest people I've ever met in boxing. He really is a quality bloke. I just hope he fairs well against Nagy, it's a flippin big ask mind you.

Does anyone along the likes of Freiheit have access to this fight? TV2 apparently.
The fight must be coming up soon if it's not on already. Early results are already in.

Ramnarine's face was bloody but still beautiful under her tears of disappointment as Halmich rejoiced.
Watch your back Edgar Allan Poe, fightnews reporters are trying to muscle in on your patch.

Fight got 5,67 million viewers (fight started at 23.15) for this unimportant fight, so it really looks like Halmich still pulls the highest ratings in Germany after Klitschko.
And it also turns out that its 1 million euroes that she gets per fight, not just 500K.

Would have thought fightnews would have had it more along the lines of...
