YOu have two opsions.
1. Fcuk up your going out cloths and dress up in the scruffiest cloths you own (girlfriends tend to take that rather badly and decid it would be best if you didn't go out)
2. Fain a headach, an oldy but a goody although it may be a bit obviouse although difficult to negatively prove.

There is another option, of course: grow some balls and tell everyone to get fvcked.
Or you could just record the fight and watch it at 2 in the morning........

Call early and tell them you've been on the toilet most of the day with a nasty case of diarrhoea . Guarantee that they wont ask any questions.

Feign death - lie very still on the couch with glazed eyes and a grimace.
They will eventualy leave.
Then make a miraculous recovery on Sunday morning, explaining is was merely a light coma. Shout praise the Lord! A lot.

Blame it on the forthcoming Ramadan or hurt your hand
being a boxing fan you must have a heap of excuses you can use.

Go but have yourself a taxi booked for 9.30. You've made the effort plus you get home the fight.

A kidney infection is my fave excuse, it only consists of a pain in your kidneys and is treated with a course of anti-biotics, so its not hard to prove.

When I got Shingles I didn't need to prove it to anyone though
actually everyone just stayed away

Cheers Ppl,
The winner of course will be States idea of taping it, sensible and i'll just have to pretend i'm watchin it live.
but I was gonna try El Raincoats suggestion of booking a taxi for 9.30, but apparantly that would be rude and would upset a few ppl, sommit i cant afford to do in this situation as they are mostly ppl i am meetig for the first time.
PS I am amazed though probably shouldnt be at the multitude of excuses and the lengths some ppl go to to get outta sommit like this, you should all be ashamed, mind you, you are learning form the masters....boxers.

Go and watch it at round your mates, dont call her all night, show up the next day and say 'I'm the boss bitch, now bend over', alternatively do the same thing but say you were helping an old woman who keeled over with a heart attack and waited while the ambulance came and went to the hospital with her to make sure she'd be ok.

I tried the man up option but that jsut upset the gfriend, and then i learnt that her parents are going and that the woman getting married has been a life long friend of the gfriends parents!
I MUST and HAVE to fulfil the good boyfriend role. No doubt that i will be meeting lots of randoms who will be in the same position.
