I would like to salute both fighters for putting on an entertaining fight, showing bags of courage, mettle & heart.

It was sad that one of the had to lose, but that's boxing for you.

Well done to both men!

The only sad thing is how little they were paid in comparison to other spineless overrated con merchants that we have masquerading as boxers from these shores!!!

absolutely. he showed his quality by seizing the momentum of the fight repeatedly in the face of some serious pressure. one hell of a hard earned win

Though Calazaghe vs Lacy was the best performance by a British boxer in a title fight this year (possibly ever), I think that was the best fight featuring a British boxer this year. The winner was never a certainty. Woods look like he might lose it at one point.

it has some stiff comp, like Enzo v Hobson, Meager v Stewart and probably at least a half dozen more. But CW-GJ III was real world championship intensity
