That and inviting Hatton to a few of his shows on ITV, also theres a big header on the left of his article.."Sports Network has discontinued its action against Ray & Ricky Hatton. The aim of both parties is to enter into discussions which will form the basis of a working relationship in the future"
If Witter wins the WBC title, then I think Witter/M'Baye would more likely to happen since M'baye ain't a big name for the Americans that Hatton's so bothered about.viciousmaussa wrote:would love to see Mbaye-Hatton
That's all over. As Lvlarc_uk says, Warren mentions in his NOTW column that Sports Network have dropped their action against the Hattons.Max Molyneux wrote:Isn't Hatton still got a court date with Warren in October?
Think I read it in BM or somewhere like that.
apparently, Mbaye was more convincing against Keotelnik. Would be interesting.Max Molyneux wrote:If Witter wins the WBC title, then I think Witter/M'Baye would more likely to happen since M'baye ain't a big name for the Americans that Hatton's so bothered about.viciousmaussa wrote:would love to see Mbaye-Hatton
Well, it's possible, if they are going to co-promote Clinton and Calzaghe, which is the only way I see the fight happeningGraham Brett wrote:Now , Warren, Hobson and Hatton should be able to work together.
It not that surprising..... I wonder if SN would attempt to get Hobson to work for them (in like a Frank Maloney esque role) - with this FA split it would be probably an excellent move for British boxing.G-man wrote:'......or anyone else who'll give him a game. And Stoke midfielder John Eustace wants a loan move so he can prove his fitness, while Ricky Hatton's soon-to-be-ex promoter Dennis Hobson is plotting a takeover bid for Sheffield Wednesday.'

I have to say I would be very very surprised if Hobson and Warren could forge a working relationship after the exchanges between them over the last couple of years.stujones wrote:It not that surprising..... The depth of talent full stop in the UK isn't strong enough for the number of promoters. SN have about 3 geniune main eventers, FA have two (I mean main eventers who would interest US TV now!).
If Maloney and Warren could for a few years, after their earlier exchanges - then anything can happen. Hell, DK and allegedly have worked together after their court cases (Calzaghe vs Ashira).nickd wrote:I have to say I would be very very surprised if Hobson and Warren could forge a working relationship after the exchanges between them over the last couple of years.stujones wrote:It not that surprising..... Stranger things have happened in boxing I guess. Will be interesting to see where Hobson goes from here.stujones wrote:If Maloney and Warren could for a few years, after their earlier exchanges - then anything can happen.
