How good is he?

Does he have the power to beat Brook?

No idea ive never seem him fight.Hopefully Kell will knock him out.

Someone told me that Doherty's a poor mans version of the Vargas that fought Mosley.

I've seen Doherty a few times and i don't rate him as much of a puncher but having said that, i've never seen Brook.

I've seen both 'Doc' and Brook fight.

Docherty will punish Brook up and stop him. Doc can box and fight and is an underated puncher.

He's a big ticket-seller so i expect Frank is pulling for him to win!

Tony is gypsy tough, Brook is just a big-headed pillock.

What makes you say kells a bighead?.

Doc is a great boxer, I'd say average puncher and has bags more experience than Brook. Doc wins this one, probably a points win though.

Tony is a quality boxer, very good range of punches, good workrate and a decent dig at the level he's been fighting at (which hasn't been upto much til now).

I can't recall seeing Kel fight, but I've heard about his dedication and weigh-making problems. Hopefully this sterner test will fire him up and get him to apply himself abit better.

Both fighters have had a fair bit of hype around them and it should be a good fight, it certainly looks to be on paper, I believe Doc has been chomping at the bit for a while to be moved up a level.

Its very unusual to see 2 young unbeaten British fighters square-off and I don't think that we'd be seeing this one if Kel hadn't have pissed off a few people

Ive never seen Tony fight ive seen Kell a few times though.

Very Tough fight to call....and I know brook hasnt lost since he was about 12/13 years old!

If Doherty has the potential then why is he facing such derisory opposition so far, i know he is a ticket seller but flip me he has been dragging the canals for some of the guys. The typical teak tough Eastern Europeans have been over time and again. Never seen Brook fight so can't any further

If it was a Twix eating contest I'd pick Brook, but in the ring Doherty will beat him I reckon! Warren is really throwing Brook in the deep end here, but lets be honest does he really deserve better considering his lack of dedication?

Well you cant really blame Warren can you? hes gave him enough warnings.So now its Brooks make or break fight.

Maybe its the kick up the arse he needs?

Both will be the best on their resumes anyway by the look of their opps record.

Doherty is more advanced you'd think. Then again if Brook is half as good as he has been hyped to be then he has a chance.

Taz Jones is probably a little better than a journeyman.

Other than him though, Doherty has fought alot of those guys over and over.

Surely after a few bouts, he'd get better fighters.

It always brings an cynical smile to my face when I look at the records of some unbeaten guys. You always find a few journeyman on their CVs that they have beaten 2/3/4 times. In this case Doherty boxed Karl Taylor and Ernie Smith 3 times each and Brook has boxed Smith 3 times.

When you beat a journeyman by a shutout points verdict or TKO, surely there is no benefit in fighting them again.

I know it provides a prospect with a payday and a workout, but surely the matchmakers would have worked harder to provide better tests for them.

BTW this is not a criticism aimed at Doherty and Brook in particular (I've never seen them fight), but just a more general point about suppossed prospects.

If Doc does fight Brook (and I have a feeling he will pull out) Brook wil KO him

I can't realy see all the bluster surrounding Docherty - Appears techcnically apt, but no more.

Plus he has been fighting weak opposition.
