Hi, I am looking for any footage that you guys may have or know where some is on TV Ringside, the free to air boxing program from the 60's & & 70's but more specifically between 1969 & 1972.

I am pretty sure TV Ringside was broadcast on HSV7 Melbourne (now channel seven), and other select states in Australia?

If anybody has any idea where some of this footage can be found, please get back to me in this forum or via email - [email protected].
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I have contacted Channel 7 in Melbourne trying to find out some contact name, phone number or email address, so far without much success. I am sure I would get better results if I was to try to speak to the Prime Minister.

Supposedely, someone will call me back. I will let you know what transpires.

I have had quite a bit of chatter in response to another web forum that I posted the message asking for ringside footage on, and have made little progress so far, only that channel 7 are very unhelpful!!

EVery past ringside boxer I have spoken with would like to get hold of their tapes too, but working out who has it is the problem. I am waiting for my copy of the 'best of tv ringside' dvd that I ordered on the internet, so once I get that I will look at the production credits to see where they credit from who got the footage or who the production company that made it are.

I will let you know if I get hold of them, are you also looking for them for yourself? My email is [email protected]. Feel free to contact me if you have or need any info!!

Could you please advise me if you had any luck at all. I too am looking for similar info on my fathers boxing career to no avail any help would be very appreciated
