Worldwide i'd go for Manny Pacquiao, he's dropped or stopped all the top guys in his division. Hopefully we can get to see Edwin Valero v Manny Pacquiao, then we can see who can punch, but most importently who can take the punch.

1. Corrales - purest puncher - every shot hurtful
2. Marquez - the biggest one shot puncher
3. Pacman - Relentless - best left hand puncher ( cannot punch as good with the right hand)
4. Edwin Valero - Amazing but untested at top level
5. Jorge Arce - Brutal - has been at the top for a while
6. Vic Darchinian - great puncher - untested at top level
7. O'Neil Bell - hard hitter, not the most talented though
8. Israel Vazquez - hard hitter, not the most talented though
9. Juan Guzman - needs to prove at top level

You might throw Witter in there if he does a number on Corley

Jesus, that's a cracking fight right there. Think Valero would get himself a new a-hole ripped though, Pacman is very quick in addition to being freakishly powerful and strong for his size.

A fair list, but I'd say Valero has been tested at top level - facing a teak tough champ in front of a huge hostile home crowd, baying for his blood, and getting off the canvas to knock him out - that's a pretty severe test right there, and not one many would have passed.

The guy may be lacking in other things - skill, class, experience - at world level, but i guarantee you that one power punch from him will knock out anyone - Hopkins, Calzaghe, Wright, Taylor etc - all would fall if hit by Wayne.
He doesn't need to put all his bodyweight into it - he just sticks his arm out and BOOSH!! Lights out!

Just a shame he doesn't have all the other attributes to make him a world champion. But his power is a gift from God definately. After he KO'd Takaloo, Barry McGuigan said that Wayne could KO anyone in the world. However, he just doesn't have all the other pieces to fit the world championship jigsaw.

A real shame. Let's hope he wins the WBO title on Oct 21 in Germany.

Just because he didn't land often against Joe, you can not discount Jeff Lacy's power.

Fair call Matty but i always thought Lacy's strength and intimidation factor bore out most of his KO's, am yet to be convinced he carries power devastating enough to be top of this list.

Once he fights more top guys Edwin Valero will show his power is genuine, i have seen a few of his earlier fights and the guy barely lands and has his men levelled out on the canvas.

That is a fair call, but Lacy does seem to load up on shots to really make them count. If Alexander had hit say Ried, IMO he wouldn't have gotten up. Same with Marquez it seems an effortless type power.

Always thought Lacy's power was way overrated - never seemed fluid enough to really zing the opponents - the way true punchers like Corrales or Marquez throw em. Too muscle bound and more of a clubbing puncher than a natural KO artist.

I think that Alexander has impeccable timing and punch placement. That shot he hit Takaloo with came out of nowhere, and caught him right on the button just as takaloo was turning his whole bodyweight in toward it. It landed like a wrecking ball swinging into a wall--BANG! If you can do that, then you don't need your own bodyweight behind it.

Yeah, Rafael Marquez or Edwin Valero.

David Haye is up there though and maybe Enzo Mac.
