Great performance from Guzman, made Barrios look like a warm up fight. Don't know what that judge who scored it to Barrios was smoking or the other guy who had it close.

Definetly. Barrios only had a few good spurts, Guzman made him look like an amatuer, I gave Barrios 4 rounds but 3 of them were close.

That point deduction was a joke. Had that not happened then Barrios would of actually got the nod

Guzman was like a small James Toney, the way he rides shots, similar defence and great chin. His speed would of gave Harrison nightmares.

Scott Harrison is very lucky.

the guy is an ex-olympian and has been impressive every step of the way as a pro---still cant believe how many in british forum were saying harrison would chew guzman up!!

Guzman was impressive. But he did get lazy and allowed the judges to think that Barrios was well in the fight. I had him winning, not by a wide margin, but would have liked to see him be a bit more decisive. He did most of the quality work & had Barrios looking battered. Looks like he can make some noise at 130.

Glad the ref took the point, as it would've been a draw wouldn't it?

Two lucky escapes for Harrison, St Clair & Guzman. Marquez has already been delayed.

I've always been an admirer of Guzman - Never mind the power, he boxes excellently.

A real joy to watch.

He's a talent that's for sure and he would of had a field day against Harrison

Nevermind Harrison Guzman looks the best 130lber for my money and I'd pick him to beat anyone at 135 too. He has PBF style shoudler roll, with Hamed style power. How much did Barrios weigh - probably 150+.

Anyone else think that Guzmans KOs Pacman? he has the angles and defense of Marquez, and greater power too for my money. His chin also looked strong when Barrios tagged him.

I think Guzman could be the future, its a pity hes had to wait until the age of 30 to get up here.

guzman stops harisson for sure, scott would be plodding and guzman would be moving round and banging him senseless, so to speak.

Guzman's defense wasn't as good as what Jim Watt was claiming it to be, but he showed a fantastic chin and excellent strength. He outstrengthed a BIG Super Feather - he would have anhilated Harrison.

It will take a Guzman type to beat Pacquiao. The toughness, reflexes, boxing ability.

Shame he never got a chance to win the featherweight title, as he could've been a 3 weight champ. But I can't imagine how skinny & weak he would look below 130 (never seen him pre Jauregei).

I don't know, but I can see him being pretty avoided.

I've seen him a few times now and he's impressed me every time. I do think his power is a bit overrated though. He certainly had it at the lower weights, but it hasn't carried up with him. I saw him hit a guy called Joe Morales with every shot in the book and he couldn't finish him off.

Anyway... he's now fighting in probably the strongest division in all of boxing, so we should hopefully see some great fights in the next year or so. Throw him in there with anyone out of Pacquiao, Valero, Soto, Morales or even Mosquera and we'll see what he's really made of.

Yeah. He only has one or two fights left, right? So I doubt he's going to use one of those getting beaten up by Guzman. I imagine he'll go for maybe Chavez and Pacquiao, something like that. Of course, Morales might retire if he loses the Pacquiao fight, but if he doesn't they'll both still be around looking for big fights.

Fantastic win for Guzman. I've been singing this guys praises for a long time now, ever since seeing him blast out the rock chinned Sanchez, and it's great to see him step onto the big stage at long last.
The way he came out in the first and took charge with killer punches was just what he did against Sanchez too.

All credit to the Barrios chin and heart: not many others could've taken those punches and remained standing.

Give him a place in the very top P4P now I reckon. And I agree, he'd give PacMan big trouble, and I could see him actualy taking out Manny in some style. He's got it all: the speed, skills, punch and balls of steel.

What the hell was that judge watching? He should be banned for even entering a boxing arena, let along judging fights. He's gonna tell us Barrios actualy won that fight??!!

Seriously?? dear oh dear....that must be the only job in the world you can get at 90 years old.

Being a Scot, I usually get right behind my countryman,Scott Harrison, but have to say, Scott would get murdered if he ever fought Guz. The guy looked very impressive, although I wouldn't go as far to say he would ko Pacman, the Pac is probably the only guy who could handle Guz at the moment.

He needs to fight this year to keep his title. But to be honest I can't see it happening, hope I'm wrong though.

Guzman's not the biggest superfeather and would be even better at 9stone. Excellent fighter who's very underrated but I saw him in the flesh fight on Calzaghe undercard in Cardiff a few years ago and he was top notch

I like the fact that he can throw short punches with power, there's not many who can.

No, Guzman would not 'of' killed Harrison. That is a grammatical impossibility. Whether or not he would'VE killed Harrison is a different question.

I feel he would have dispirited and stopped Scott, and I was going to win a lot of money on thet event....

You mean would have? Plus 'that'?

Typing error on the 'that' of course...but it is perfect grammar to put 'would've' - this is the shortened version of 'would have', hence the apostrophe and why many people make the error of writing 'would of' as phonetically they sound very similar.
