Does anyone know whether the annual boxing fayre in London is on this year?.... and if so what date it is on??.... its usually on about mid October, but I havent heard anything about it yet this year... 8)

I need my yearly fix of books and mags that I'll probably never get round to reading!!!.... 8)

if you hear of a date please let me know, i have never been but i'd love to go

21st October. New venue this year. I'll double check and put it here in the morning, Number one Piccadilly I think off of the top of my head!!

Do you ever get vids from such Fayres'.... Not likely to go but would like to discuss privately with those who have gone before and likely to go to this one.

I know Dominic Foley is sometimes there, I've only been once, it was mostly books, magazines, photos and memorabilia.

Derek Williams has a show at the Elephant and castle if you want to move onto a show after the fair

I've been going for years, always get some bargins... though last year the books were rather pricey... :x 8)

The venue is Number One Piccadilly as I said in an earlier post, it was formerly the London Pavilion.

Admission is £1.50 and it is from 2pm to 6pm

£1.50 this alone makes me feel like it will not be worth the 300+ miles trip

Not really, mainly 50s and 60s.... some 40s and earlier sometimes.... I picked up an autographed photo of Batt Battelino there a few years back for £1.... which aint bad!.... 8)

i just phoned my dad to get him to come to the fayre but he's off to spain for 2 weeks with SAGA so i'm going on my own now.

Bargain for a quid! I doubt the stallholder knew what they were selling. The really old stuff is what's of interest to me, but might have to make a trip up there.

Yes, last year some of the books were a bit pricey, for instance their were the Ruben Carter Biog going for over £100 and I managed to get it for £15 a few months ago on ebay... same with the 70s Frazier biography... but theres always some good deals there and interesting people coming and going... and theres usually a bar as well!!... 8)
