Can somebody do a R-b-R or give some updates?

Apparently, Johnny Nelson will announce his retirement.

Is his speech as entertaining as his boxing. Can´t he announce his retirement after the fight and ease the fans into sleep.

Bami won on points. Pretty much in charge all the way, the Italian looked like he might get somewhere with his left hook from about mid-way, and Bami started to tire a bit, but Ted lasted the distance fine and was on his toes in the last doing his sugar ray impression. Good win I'm pleased for the Brixton banger.

Lauri spent half the fight looking to the impressionable ref with pleading eyes, trying to get a dsq for various imagined offences.

I was quite shocked it lasted the distance after seeing the first two rounds. Bami looked good at the start but faded. Can't help but think he's a slight frontrunner. Needs to improve on defense as those looping shots leave him too open. Overall though a good win especially considering the 2 weeks notice.

If I was his matchmaker then I would match him with Kotelnik for his next fight.

he did take it on short notice, but Bami should forget about world title shots as this was vs a man blown away by witter and stoped by hatton

No knockdowns, Bami did hurt Lauri on a few occasions. Bami got a point deducted fairly late one (wasn't justified IMO).

An excellent performance by Bami, how many days notice did he have? I had the fight wider than Watt (closer to the 118-111 card).

Witter is apparently looking at a fight this year, well I would look forward to seeing Bami in this fight - as I cannot imagine (with all negotations etc) a big name US fighter taking a fight now.

I still think Olusgen is the only domestic(ish) rival that can beat Witter, other than Ricky..... but Bami deserves to be rewarded with an excellent performance. He really did surprise me with his boxing, and his fitness.

Bami did very well - very strong. Lauri was a bit of a whinger thouggh ultimately showed some level of heart.

The undercard was not great though - 7 fights for £30 was a bit disappointing.

Williams looked OK, but my money is on Eastman. Williams' opponent didn't come to lie down and made it tough without really looking like he might win.

George Hillyard looked terrible - leaping in with single shots....I wonder if he's lost interest. His opponent grabbed whenever George got inside, but it was the right tactic if not crowd pleasing.

Nice to see the away fighter win I suppose (though my neighbour said it was the worst fight he had ever seen - a slight exaggeration maybe.)

Barry Morrison was a decent fight - his opponent wasn't very skilled but had alot of heart. It was a bruyising fight, though Morrison prob isn't going anywhere....

Bami-Olusegun, that would be one to see but sadly Olusegun's not European...damn. I think Olusegun would eat up Bami, Anderson & Muttley. IMO if Olusegun is fed one decent name he could end up in a shot at Witter. Not a bad division on these shores.

Yeah, Bami vs Olusegun would be a good one, one I would favour Olusegun also.

I definately wouldn't mind seeing a British based fighter in this apparant december defense for Junior. Lenny Daws has shown some good form of late, even Colin Lynes might feel he could do better with more notice - although it would be a bit criticised given Lynes is now 0-2.

But anyone of Daws, Bami or Olusugen would be good for this defense, cause I cannot see there being enough time to negotate with a big US name.

If Lauri actually boxed rather then look at the ref all night he might have won. He reminded me of Nardiello when against Benn.

Morrison looked knackered with a couple of rounds to go. Mutley did well to blast out his man in the first.

Didn't think the Hillyard fight was that bad, the Ingle boy adopted the normal Ingle style and boxed his ears off, flicking that jab into Hillyard's face all of the time. Hillyard looked marked up before the fight!

And what about Appleby - Coveney, Appleby looked really impressive early on and then the more experienced Coveney came back into it, and he was taking everything you young Scot through at him.

Williams did the job put out before him and in good style I thought, it would have been all over in the second but for the bell and the same in the third it was too late in the round to stop the fight both times.
