Has Mutley signed up with Gilmour?

Watched Young Mutley win by KO in the first, looked good, finished the guy well , although the other guy looked pretty poor. But noticed Tommy Gilmour was in Mutleys corner at the end, is the Mut signed up with Gilmour now??? :-?
Seems that Tommy has taken a big interest in Mut after his failed British title defence against Kevin Anderson. Bit of a poke in the eye for Ando to be waiting for a fight when the guy he K.O'd is getting pushed forward for big titles, shouldn't it be Ando. Big up to Mut though, I like the guys style, just think Ando's is getting the shitty end of a rather large stick, seems to be ages since he KO'D Mut in one of the best british title fights for a while.

Come on Tommy, get Ando back on the box, one of the most exciting fighter out there :TU: :TU:

Muts promotional status is one I haven't understood yet. I thought SN had options on him after the Jennings win - surely he cannot be disgarded after losing the domestic fight of the year. For me, his reputation enhanced with that defeat. I never expected to be ahead at the time of the stoppage. I expected Anderson to be generally on top.

Gilmour was smiling cos Muttley is back down at lightwelter, far away from Anderson!

Why would that be then mate? Ando KO'D Mut? If a rematch came about Ando would KO him again, no question, think Mut was a little underestimated against Ando. He had his chance to beat Ando, wouldn't do as good next time.
Mut is good but Ando is a better rounded fighter, proved it on the night

Spot on bud, couldn't have put it better myself. :TU:

Did watch Mut, he looked pretty good, but the other guy was a journeyman, fair enough it was his first fight back after getting KO'D by Anderson :TU:

Mut must be signed up to Tommy, can't think of any other reason he'd be in his corner at the end. Hopefully Kev will be defending his British and Commonwealth titles very, very soon, bloody hope so.

I would lOVE to see a rematch of this.... I am sure fans of both Kevin, Mutley and other boxing enthusiasts will agree. There has to be a rematch, it was too good first time around.

Is Anderson not defending the Commonwealth title against Ali Nuumbembe before the end of the year? I'm sure I read that the other day. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

It's still a good fight, even with Nuumbembe's loss (at short notice) last time out. Ali can fight, And as tough as Anderson-Mutley was, I'd like to see him fighting again this year. He (Anderson) could be looking at the European title (and the world rankings that go with it) in 2007, as long as he keeps winning.

Mutley totally outclassed Anderson until he got tired/lost focus & was KOd. he made him look dreadful for the bulk of the fight.

Lee is till promoted by Errol Johnson and PJ Rowson but they are working closely with Matchroom to give some of their lads TV exposure.

Vicious, what are you talking about? Seems a bit pointless to Mut was outclassing Ando, Mut got KTFO. Obviously the english guys think Mutley won every round but if you actually score it with the sound off it's a totally different fight. That's the thing, you say Anderson was outclassed, but boxing is over the full 12 rounds mate, if you can't last the distance it aint much good, look and see who won and let that tell you who he better fighter was. That was Muts chance against Ando, wont get so close next time.

Tom Podmore, are you sure it was just the case of Gilmour giving Mut some exposure? looked like he had the Mut in his back pocket, wouldn't trust Tommy as far as I could throw his rubber lips? By the way, all the best to Mut, good guy

Errol and PJ wouldnt let their jewel be snatched from them.

He is still a 'PJ Promotions' fighter. As i said earlier PJ and Errol will let him fight on Matchroom shows but he is still their fighter.

Would love to see Muttley v Andreson II, could go either way, although it may be another Laing v Jones , with Muttley leading clearly on points but walking into one pounch that turns the fight once again in Andersons favour.

Still think its surprising that Anderson is only 23, hope he doesn't have to many wars in the next few fights, doesn't lead to a long career.

Probabaly never happen now that Mut has stepped back down, he has plenty of power but obviously it would be more effective at L/W, if he can make the weight comfortably why would he want to be in against someone bigger who he couldn't take out the first time, and who obviously had the power to KO HIM? Can defo see Mut beating the likes of Bami though. Also, IMO if Mut been allowed to box for the European title he would have hammered that guy, lost an opportunity there.
Once again, Tommy Gilmour, get Ando back on again pronto, he's probably the best fighter in the stable so why the long delay in his next bout?

C'mon, I know you're a Ando fan and all, but even he'd have to admit that fight with Mut was life and death until Kev found the finishing shots.
I mean, in most people's eyes that was a helluva turnaround.

It shows that Anderson is the real deal - not many would've survived that ordeal and come out a winner.

But a rematch is no foregone conclusion....not by a long shot.

And yes Muttley would start favorite over Bamy: both heavy handed, but Ted looks a tad vunerable when it's coming his way.

Saw pictures of Ando after that and he was busted up.

Must be taking a long break.

This is the same guy saying Ando would beat Takaloo. :o

Yeah, it is the same guy who said he'd beat Takaloo, and still say he would beat him. Tak was kack the last time he fought remember. Let's see how Tak would react to a fighter like Anderson, the Fifer would be too good by a long shot :TU:

On there last performances i'd pick Anderson to beat Tak as well, i'm not to sure how much Tak has left in the tank after a long career, would see Anderson coming home on a close points decision

Tak wasn't being outclassed though.

U talk rubbish chap - all round better fighter? Mutley boxed his head of for 8 rounds and dropped him

Aye right pal. Out boxed him for 8 rounds my arse, turn the sound off and score it properly, you'll soon see it was a lot closer than you seem to think. Just block out the sound made by all the gorillas that are so called boxing fans, who understandably went mad when Mut caught Ando but were silent when it was the other way around, you can get eaily misled listening to the noise of a crowd, the same ones who spat the dummy and started a riot when Mut got KO'D.

Why is it only the Scotish that believe it was a close fight?

No it's not only the scots who believe it was a close fight. Score it unbiased and see for yourself, if after you watch it and believe Ando didn't win a round you obviously need lessons on scoring a bout. At the end of the dy we could argue on this one till the cows come home but the fact remains, the Mut got taken to the pound that night. By the way, less of the "Sweaty" comments, we guys dont like them, much the same as you don't want to be referred to as Morris dancing clowns. :TU:
