Hobson vs Maccarinelli 2 question.

Does anyone know if this is going to be for the Vacant WBO title, or just for the WBO title. In other words, will Maccarinelli be declared as the champion proper and this will be a defence..... or is it for the vacant title?

If Maccarinelli is declared the champion, and losses - will that be the shortest ever world title reign? Surely yes. One for the historians I think.

I think it's the latter. Maccarinelli is the WBO champ now, and this will either be his first defense or a non-title fight. Don't see why Hobson would take it if it was non-title, though.

I read on fightnews that since Nelson relinquished the title then Macca would be elevated to full WBO champion, though subject to WBO approval. Then later on in article Frankie says the fight between Enzo and Macca will have the WBO world title at stake.

Still not sure if that means Enzo has been made full WBO champion yet though.

Definately the WBO title proper is on the line, but is it for the VACANT title or Enzo Mac's first defense.

My second question (about the shortest reign) is obviously relating to the answer of my first question. If its for the VACANT title proper then Enzo Mac cannot tell his children yet that he is a full world champion (other than the WBU baubble).
