According to boxing new the WBU is up for sale, if no person buys it will it fold so the fighters will lose there world titles. Then the likes of Lockett and Alexander could fight for british titles instead.

It depends on what, if anything, is up for sale.

It could be that the head honchos at the WBU (if there is more than one) thought, since they're practically an SN sub division anyway, say that we're going bust. Fwank gets the skits, viewing this as his marketing company going up in smoke, so buys them out, keeping everyone in their jobs.

Alternatively, and practically inconceivably, Frank has told them that soon into the future he'll be reducing his use of the WBU. As I said, inconceivable.

If the WBU was actually up for sale, what are you buying? The name, the, um, pedigree? If you bought it with assurances that SN would continue to use it, then it may be worth something. May even be worth bumping up the sanctioning fees a bit. Or just for a laugh you could buy it, create a whole new (ie. credible) rankings and championship criteria. Then send Franky a letter thanking him for his cheque for Earl's co-challenge for the lightweight title, and saying that we are delighted to inform him that Diego Corrales has been installed as co-challenger. Cat. pigeons.
